Super nice Goat. Love the sound, and the stick. You really have a strange interpretation of "original, and unrestored" tho. You say, "this is the way it would've looked in 64." Not with those rims. They didn't become available till 65. Also, the paint on the exhaust ports haven't even blistered, meaning the eng. compartment has been recently "restored". (You can see the overspray on the neg. cable end). But that's OK. It's still a gorgeous car. with some nice add ons. (Just not what you're claiming). But the funniest comment was the brakes, "GOOD braking". (Single master cylinder, 4 wheel 9.5" no power assist, drum brakes) LOL. But ya know what, I'ld still love to have it. Oh yeah, also, next video, give the camcorder to someone else. But thanks for posting. Very entertaining. Hope you got what you wanted for it. :)

It has for sure been repainted. The fenders would be body color on the A body cars.

Reputations on the line, I'd suggest that they have a professional master mechanic go through it and make out one of those antique and classic automobile/truck reports that auction houses like mecum and sema use to authenticate the vehicles that they auction. If a layperson like myself can spot painted surface rust on a KZitem video on his phone, it makes you wonder what a professional mechanic would pick out when going through a vehicle in person?! It would be in these people's best interest to get things checked out before they get in hot water making claims that simply aren't true! I was born in 1964, and even I can affirmatively say that that color candy apple red wasn't even available until the late 70s, or even the 1980s! Also, the metal flake in the paint is a multistage process, which cannot be ordered from any company! It is a really nice paint job, but there's simply no way that it's a stock, or factory ordered paint job.

@user-eq9cb8wj4v The trim tag looks to read RR it was an Alamo Beige car factory..They had three different shades of red for 64 code V is close to this color. The 216 interior trim is Light Saddle.

@@user-eq9cb8wj4v Candy apple red was definitely available in the '70s, maybe even by the mid-70s. It was a very popular color at the time that I'm sick of looking at now. Although when I bought mine from the original owner it had been repainted a darker, non-metallic maroon, that paint looks very similar to the color I uncovered when I was prepping it and doing body work.

@@thomasthurston6656 My overpainted color was very similar to this color. So, you're saying that according to the codes the entire color scheme has been changed? The headliner at least has been sprayed and the dash re-painted too as the original was gloss black. I wonder if the owner actually changed out the interior or just painted over it. Back in the day vinyl spray was available.

@markwornom1050 Yep, most everything has been resprayed. You can look at the information it's on the trim tag. Also, you can decode the information online. Opgi here in Socal produces tons of reproduction parts. It wouldn't be just vinyl dye. You can buy a full interior today.

@@17classiccars YOU are the one who needs to 'smarten up'......only '66-'69 Rally 1s appeared like this. '65-only had stainless chrome center covers, '66-69 were anodized black. BTW, 'you will be smarten up' is incorrect grammar, as well as horrible sentence structuring. Check the factory sales literature & learn of your mistake(s).

Unrestored????? Not hardly. The trunk paint is incorrect. 1964 was body colored inside, NOT spatter paint. No jacking instruction sticker on the inside of trunk lid. Repainted car.

It looks real bit-chin, can I say that? The paint, wheels, just pops good golly. I have a preference for the 4s with conventional dual headlights. Thanks for posting; wouldn't change a thing.

@@17classiccars Just a bit of nitpicking but I can tell you that the ventilation controls were not originally faux wood, the headliner was originally a light color and the radio antenna was originally on the fender in front of the passenger and not behind the rear window. I did a similar mod with mine because it looks better IMHO and I also painted the headliner black.
