If anyone in my demented mind qualifies for a gymnasium sized building just for your ford collection.. its you. I have heard someone say your first name but so far never again ... memory serves, your trucker friend down towards Seward ak... mentioned it when ya picked up a G.I. rig and then got it going again if my seventy three year old dementia brain serves me at all.... any more its names on my clothes to just remember my own name, not a joke either!! Knowing you through the videos you've put out makes me wish that you and I could of met when ever I lost my garage/home in twenty ten. I got crippled up seriously bad in twenty O five so with a crushed spine and other not so looked forwards to having happen... I am slowly coming closer to dirt worm materials. I had several fords and have been a ford kid since the late fifties. I kind of drool when I see the little sprint setting there.. probably got the name wrong but names are not my strong suit as I have mentioned now. Rather than see the bank get my "JUNK" to some people, gave my running and driving rigs to a grandson whom I thought would appreciate it along with my large tool collection gathered over fifty years of wrenching time. Not having insurance is a da** stupid thing as I look back so having only some G I insurance, got some surgeries done but its the no money coming in to pay off bills. I did get most of my stuff all paid off as I wasn't sticking it to the people who trusted me for having a account with. I had the second account started with the commercial desk at O'reilly's and even got them paid off although I had to do that out of my ssi checks. Too good of credit and never ever considering ever to get hurt was a big stupid idiot thing. I am almost sure that if you had accepted my old fords that you might of taken the wreckers I had. One was a one ton four wheel drive factory built 72 chevy K3500 and the other was a slide back 75 international... I am trying but just can't pull the name/numbers on this one. It was a diesel in its start in life... had so many problems with that idi engine that I swapped a 5.9 cummins in it. Five speed and two speed rear end. It was my pride and joy so was in perfect shape,, tilt hood and all. I kept losing my brake cylinders on the back axle. I had different drivers on it, the last one had drove it home with the rear brakes hung up.... just because the micro switch under the cab and on the frame near where the drivers door was. It was built for the navy and so color was of course GRAY.... a bad shade of it as well. There wasn't even a pin hole of rust in it nor any dents. That big fire that happened north of me here in wasilla caught the rig in my grandsons yard... he drove his car out of this fire and left the truck.... idiot could of loaded the car on its back and drove it out. What can I say or do as I found out he had sold that large tool collection for cocaine. Its a fact also as I do have solid proof of it and he no longer comes to visit his grand pa. I could of got over his bull stuff but his not coming over to see me after he knew I had found out about all of it... hell, metal ain't nothing but a thing... its the family thing... I loved him faults and all.... I ain't no angel either. Well, I have ruined my comment by whining so shall say.. always enjoy your videos

I am so curious to see inside the motor and drive train on the new truck. You said it had been caught by the tide and I really want to see if that FE is salvageable. After getting some feedback from a fellow viewer, is it worth trying to use the 'network' as it were to locate some of those old crewcabs in other salvage/wrecking yards in Alaska? Based off the fact the scrapping rate is very different up there, I'd think it's possible to locate some other for potential parts sourcing(bed?). Just a thought
