Once again, another Goldwing running has its brand new - just like you’ve done with several of my GL 1000s - you’re the best I’ve had work on them !

Hey Bob, glad to see another fine video on the GL1000! As I've been cleaning the crud off my 1976 Ltd, I discovered several breather pipes around the battery compartment. Must be at least 4. One insitu is the original breather for the battery but would like to know what the others are for. By the way, you on Facebook?!

There is a tube that that connects to a tray surrounding the fuel filler on the tank. If you spill gas while fueling, it takes that gas to the ground. There is another tube connected to the coolant reservoir tank to take coolant overflow to the ground. And the last one is the crankcase breather. I connects to a filter that traps oil, but takes vapors to the air box for burning with combustion. These are all the plastic or rubber tubes on your bike.

Thanks for this video and all your explanations. I wonder when replacing the coils; did you remove the resistor from the original coils also?

Dynatek said to leave out the ballast resistor with 5 ohm coils. So, no resistor.

I’m having the same problem but the problem seems to be coming from the arm that connects the bell crank to the carbs. I’ve been at it for a while, it’ll go back to touching the bell crank stopper when I pull the carb flaps out but otherwise it has a gap. Any advice would be appreciated

There are 2 arms, one going to the left side and one going to the right. They will not limit the return travel of the bell crank unless they are maybe installed wrong. The only limits to travel, as far as I know, are the fast idle cam and the idle speed stop. Good luck.
