Nice work. I like how you did the frame painting yourself too. I have a nice original KE175 (rotary valve) from 1976 and everyone loves to ride it! Cheers

Looks brilliant mate. I'm just doing one. Got the frame and a lot of the black bits back from powder coaters yesterday. What an awesome job they've done. Not been on the road for 16 years(was in Mums garage), because gear lever and gear rod splines were gone. Got them from America, and brought it up to mine 3 years ago. Found one part was wrong, so ordered the right part, but then broke my leg mountain biking, and lost the inclination to do it - so out in the rain it was for 3 years :( Put it back together a month ago, ran as soon as I took battery off(amazing), so decided to do it. Doubt I'll get it that good though. :)

I hammered the crap out of it until I got my kx125 but still got the same price wen I sold it must have fell off it more than I can remember but never broke a thing it was a little tank good old days. Never forget about your first bike?

That was fantastic! I only wish the pics cycled through slower, so I could really appreciate all of the fine details in each shot. I'm currently rebuilding my 88 ke100 and can't wait to get her on the trails again! Cheers!

I'm from Singapore, and back in the '80s, the local agent imported this model, but the engine capacity is 185c.c. In my personal opinion, this Kawasaki is most powerful among the 200c.c., Suzuki TS185 takes 2nd place, followed by the Yamaha DT175. Honda agent never brings in their 2-stroke Elsinore. I owned all these 3 models, but I have great respect for the Elsinore.

Ssshhh, don't tell anyone 😅, they actually came in this orientation, as in you can only fit them one way round, must be a design fault from the aftermarket supplier.

@NewRetroMotorcycles

Hi, The number should be on the collar which the front fork assembly passes through to pivot on. Once you have it a quick call to a Kawasaki dealer should get you the information
