Ah, the joys of working on vehicles that were never designed to ever see salt... I swear sometimes these auto execs / engineers forget that half of our population doesn't live in southern California. Nice rescue, brother.

Bro, you gotta wear gloves when working on that rusty crap. Your knuckles looks like you beat Everyones ass at the bar, and I know you dont drink, but stress relief can be done sober...LMAO

Got a 94 how do I get the cover panels off with the door shut?
@OutlawEdge
7 ай бұрын
I had the same problem, you can take them off from the inside with the doors closed. It’s kind of a pain in the neck but you can pull the screws and clips and stuff off and get the panels off without the doors being open and then once you get the doors panels off, it’s pretty easy to get in there and lube, everything and mess around with the latches and mechanisms to open up the doors. Hope that helps!

Hey your video makes a difference. I opened up our 1997 GMC Suburban today. All it needed was cleaning and lubing of the 3 latches, which I knew how to access from your video. Thanks a lot for posting !!!

The screwdriver trick worked for me so I could change my rear tail lights. Thanks. Even though it's an easy fix to open, I still have to replace some door latch assembly parts. But at least the door opens now. o7

Most likely the detects are bad on those black rods that go into the body right behind the doors. You can unbolt them behind the doors and pull them out and check them. Most of the time the little tabs break off of them. It’s a easy change and then your doors will work perfectly and stay open for you. I hope that helps have a happy Thanksgiving ARCO
