館林つつじが岡公園
高さ4mに及ぶ古木をはじめ、推定樹齢800年を越えるヤマツツジの巨樹が見られるツツジの名所。城沼[じょうぬま]のほとりにある12.9haの園内に、100余品種約1万株ものツツジが植えられている。毎年4月上旬から5月中旬につつじまつりを開催。見頃は4月下旬から5月上旬。国の名勝に指定されています。
鶴生田川鯉のぼりの里まつり
館林市では、毎年3月下旬~5月上旬までこいのぼりの里まつりが開催されます。市内4か所の会場に飾られるこいのぼりの総数は、なんと4,300匹以上!その数の多さは2005年に世界ギネス記録に認定され、世界一のこいのぼりまつりとなりました。
たくさんのこいのぼりが、水面の上を泳ぐその景色は圧巻。ご家庭でこいのぼりを飾る方もそうでない方も、一度は訪れたい館林市の一大イベントです。
Tatebayashi Tsujigaoka Park
This is a famous azalea spot where you can see giant azalea trees that are estimated to be over 800 years old, including old trees up to 4 meters in height. Approximately 10,000 azaleas of over 100 varieties are planted in the 12.9ha park on the banks of Jonuma. The Azalea Festival is held from early April to mid-May every year. The best time to see them is from late April to early May. It has been designated as a national scenic spot.
Tsurutagawa Carp Streamer Festival
In Tatebayashi City, the Carp Streamer Festival is held every year from late March to early May. The total number of carp streamers displayed at four venues in the city is over 4,300! The sheer number of carp streamers was recognized in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2005, making it the world's largest carp streamer festival.
The sight of so many carp streamers swimming above the water is breathtaking. Whether you decorate your home with carp streamers or not, this is a major event in Tatebayashi that you should visit at least once.
