Quick tip for anyone with a potato laptop with integrated graphics: 1) Set the render sampling to 8 instead of 300 2) Turn on “Denoising” and set it to OpenImageDenoise It took around 30 minutes to render this on my Ideapad and it looks okayish lol

Can this be real time with a 4090?
@DiverseGreen-Anon
Жыл бұрын
@@cybyrd9615 depends what you really mean as well as the kind of thing you are rendering (as well as resolution and materials). when playing the timeline it will mostly get only 1 sample done before it is already rendering the next one (~41ms @24fps ). This might be because it still takes a bit of time to "setup" the scene for each frame. This can be a real bottleneck when dealing with animations of models with huge poly counts or geonodes and such. So I can get "realtime" cycles on the 4090 when playing my animations in the viewport (even at 4K) as long as the scene is rather simple and does not include any of the mentioned things.

Sir how much estimated time would it take to bake a simple Simulation. For example A Sphere above a torus. Falling inside it and colliding with it.
@Centreus

Depends on the machine but it would most likely take very quick if it's just two objects colliding

Thank you very much for this tutorial.... however something is wrong with blender simulation engine, the pieces falls down like there is no acceleration in speed due to gravity. Look the last piece that falling down from the highest point... looks like it is falling with constant speed. Any idea how to fix this ????

I have the same problem in blender 3.2.x after frame 101 the ball drops without having any more speed towards the tower.

One frustrating thing for beginners would be applying something like this to a scene they want to use it in. No one is mentioning scale, and every tutorial seems to just start with the default scene where their collision objects start at something like 1-2 meters. Well, unless you're working with buildings, that's likely unrealistic. Say you've modelled a room, and you want a simulation on a desk where a bouncy ball destroys a jenga tower. If your scene was modelled to scale, your simulation will probably fail. Beginners won't know how to fix that, and also won't know how they should have started, to be sure their scale was correct in the first place.

I don´t know what you´re doing when animating the sphere. Mine stops instead of keeping on moving. Do I have to drag it through the cubes instead? Have tried this 50 times now. It stops and/or falls. Very frustrating. I have the exact same settings. If I animate the sphere all the way through then it works. Is it a Blender 2.93 thing? Losing my frikkin mind here. Hopeless.
