It started out that PSA had decent uppers until you got to barrel alignment and the gas tube on one. Then it just went downhill for the PSA uppers. Interesting enough, on the same day this video was uploaded, another KZitemr named FocusTripp did a live stream that PSA terminated his account for his PSA JAKL review. The upper had out of spec picatinny rails off by .004 and he couldn't mount scope rings or optics to it because of that.

I have 100s of rounds down range with zero stoppages with my PSA. No parts wiggling loose. Accuracy is more than sufficient to ring steel at 200 yards for 3-gun matches. Only issue is the lower is out of spec and so an aftermarket bolt wouldn’t fit (it was rubbing against the pin that holds in the buffer tube spring), but for $400 for a whole rifle I can’t complain. Same with my Radical 6.8 SPC (which is way more accurate than any other rifle I own outside of my .243 Tikka T3x). My Aero .300 is slightly nicer, but it won’t make a difference for most shooters.

Found the click number that barely got the bolt to lock back on an empty mad and gave it 3 more clicks. I ran only that ammo and everything ran great. I sent it into kelt t ch and they fixed it and I had them swap the 24" barrel out for an 18". Once again after about 500 rounds same crack in the weld happened again. Why don't they use 2 or more pins for the barrel extension? I've always felt the pin is a little too thin. I know it could make the threaded part of the upper wesker but as far as I can see the extension is just threaded on and has 1 pin, I can understand 1 pin to clock but why not another 1 to 3 flush pins to make it more solid. I know some people swear by (bedding) the barrel as they use shims, picture or both but aluminium is soft and torqed correctly it's a solid fit with no need for bedding. I true my uppers, some don't need much at all but some need more, it removes a tiny amount of material but I'm not sure if its worth it as I don't have a tool to true the barrel extension but I have found that doing it has had better results. It would be nice if PSA offered it's kits or uppers unassembled. It's nice to see they test fired it but I think by law all manufacturers should fire 1 or 2 proof loads. In alot of nations proofing is the law and I have had some firearms come in (usualy AKs with no pistol grip or the mag cutout for 30 round mags) come with at least 1 empty cartridge from test firing, a proof mark and sometimes a bench group. Setting up something like proof houses in the US would considerably push up the prices of firrarms and I'm sure some manufacturers do use a proof load but it would be nice if they all did as paying a dollar or so more for them to use overpressure proof rounds. I would prefer it. Not sure if barrel makers like FN proof, but it does not mean much if a manufacturer uses FN barrels but not matched FN bolts.

Most of the audio is coming out of the right-channel on this vid. At the very least, it's much better when someone talking doesn't cause the volume to go up/down as they turn toward/away from the camera. You're already this deep into the KZitems and a bump up in audio quality would be next level. EDIT: I didn't realize it was your son doing the filming. @4:00 I have a CMP AR15 from Bushmaster (CMP competition qualified rifle ig) that has a 1/9 twist barrel and the front sight/gas block combo is waaaaay off. Was hoping new pins would fix it but nope. Im gonna have too get a new barrel. Project for a later day. Probably go with white oak if they have M16A2 profile 1/9 twist barrels. (The rifle is a M16A2 style rifle so im gonna stick with the M16A2 profile barrel which I think means its a HBAR? More than welcome to correct me)

Are the modified Go/No Go guages items that are sold by a company, or did you modify them yourself? I'd hate to repurchase guages since mine weren't cheap, but it would be so nice not having to take the bolt apart. I bought a jig to make it easier, but it's still a pain in the As.

I get a kick out of the barrels sliding in and out of the upper. I've never been able to just pull or put a barrel into an upper receiver without a heat gun. But I've only built billet uppers. Maybe that's it. No link to the next video, this is really interesting.
