20-Days Across the Arctic Wilderness - E.7 - The Brothers Camp at an Amazing Waterfall
In this episode of our 20-day canoe trip across the Arctic barren lands, @TheRealTedBaird and I navigate the challenges of whitewater rapids on our way to the Hood River. Our adventure takes a turn when we encounter a striking 25-meter waterfall, prompting us to portage around its impressive drop. We set up camp at its base, surrounded by breathtaking scenery that showcases the raw beauty of the Arctic.
While exploring the area, we’re thrilled to spot a solitary caribou in the distance, its presence adding to the allure of the landscape. We also discover remnants of early Inuit life-crushed caribou bones that tell a story of survival in this harsh environment. As the day winds down, we try our luck at fishing and manage to catch a couple of nice lake trout, which adds a satisfying touch to our evening. Join us as we reflect on the beauty and history woven into this rugged terrain.
