After watching this video several times to be clear I can press a 15oz mug, I purchased this 8in1, 8-months ago. I didn’t attempted to make a15oz mugs until December for gifts. That’s when I realized none of the attachments will work with the 15 oz mug. You clearly indicated it will work with this size in your video. Of course I reached out to the company, no response. My suggestion, they need to make an attachment to accommodate the 15 oz. mug that was the main reason for selecting the 8-1.

Melissa, thank you so much for the great video. I’ve been having a heck of a time with seams showing. I use a tumbler press. My tumblers are a bit taller than the design, so I do have a slight white space at the bottom, but it still looks great.
@SilhouetteSchool

There's always going to be bit of a seam b/c the paper has to wrap around and meet somewhere. You can scale the design slightly to make it fill the tumbler more completely if you'd like.

REPLAY# 2 years after you posted this video. I still haven’t used my plate press attachment. I get a perfect tumbler using my mug press attachment. I trim the design as close to the size of the tumbler, and I double-tape it all the way around the top and bottom. I also put a long piece of tape along the side seam over the three initial pieces of tape. I make sure the press the top and bottom edges of the tumbler away from the edges of the press because the edges don’t have good press or heat at the very edges of the press. I ALWAYS use my heat resistant gloves. I sit the tumbler on my silicone pad and allow it to cool down before I unwrap it. This takes less time than in my air fryer with convection technology.

Hi Melissa. I just got my 8 in 1 heat press like the one in this video. I've seen in this video and other videos of yours that you attach the mug press and hat connector cord under the control panel in the front of the control box. None of my attachments fit in the front connector/plug, only in the side connector, which makes it very difficult because the cord is not long enough. I can't place my mug press flat on the counter for that reason. Also, my heat press does not have the black rubber bumper feet so the machine is elevated and it won't scratch my desk. Aren't all the heat press (Swing Design) 8 in 1 the same? Not being able to plug the attachments connector at the front is bothersome.

I tape the heck out of that thing! 😂 I make sure NO air gets between the tumbler and the paper. I get full even color from top to bottom of the tumbler. I trim the white edge off the bottom and top. I stand the tumbler upright on the table so that the bottom edge of the design is flush with the bottom edge of the tumbler. Making sure the design size is trimmed even to the bottom and top of the tumbler. Then I hold it TIGHTLY and tape the heck out of it. I do have 4 tumblers that I need to bake the design off because I didn’t have success when I first started doing tumblers.

Hi Melissa! Thanks for the tutorial... I have several questions... I purchased a baseball mom wrap design with the american flag on Etsy and I got a seam, yours was overalapping quite a bit, can you share the actual print size dimensions so I can stretch it if that's what I should be doing? Also, I got bad ghosting at the top and bottom edges and I tapped it "aggressively!" Any recommendations on how to get that to not do that? And lastly, how did you get that to print on an 8.5" x 11"???? I tried and it keeps giving me the error that it doesn't fit. I do have the SG 1000 and I ended up printing on 11" x 17" paper but feels like such a waste... Oh and I have the skinny tumbler press so I don't have to do 4 sections, only 2, what are the setting recommendations for that? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I see that you are touching the tumbler after the heat time to move it. I would burn my fingers off if I didn't use a oven mitt to move it. What heat setting are you using? Thanks, great video

Have you ever had problems where you unwrap your tumbler and you can see the spots where you taped it visible? Someone said probably tumbler press was too tight. I adjusted it to be light pressure and they still show. I'm using the Epson F570 with the epson roll. Not sure why this could be happening.

Hey there, it sounds like you might need to adjust your temperature rather than the pressure.

@@SilhouetteSchool I'll try that tomorrow. Right now I have at 360 for 50 seconds. Then turn for another 50. Thank you so much for replying.

Thinking about getting into sublimation for tumblers, hoodies and so on. How much printing can be done before having to refill ink. Thinking about going with a Sawgrass printer.

Love your videos. Very easy to follow. Great teachings. Do you have to use butcher paper with this? TIA

I don't always use butcher paper, no

So I noticed that you didn't use any butcher paper to protect the press. All other videos I have seen, they all recommend covering the sublimation print.

You overlap way too much. You should only overlap 1/8” and no more. I always trim all the white off. Never seen anyone do it your way.
