Does anyone else really like this quad? I LOVE Annia, Mohini, Carly, Courtney Kupets, and Courtney McCool, Krystal Uzelac, and Ashley Postell.

McCool was a great gymnast who was treated disgracefully by Marta at the Olympics.

not when you have a gymnast like Schwikert winning meets and championships. it was pretty weak early on in this quad...

I keep forgetting how accomplished Tasha's gymnastics career was! She was a world and Olympic medalist, 2x national champion and had a very fulfilling NCAA career. Man, I remember in early 2000 when she seemingly came out of nowhere, too.

b0rtie imo, she rocked at the olympics. She was a baby!!! Came up and like tim and elfie said, performed like a veteran

I remember tumbling on a crushed growth plate in my big toe. So painful! Kristal is doing great to push through it, though.

It is so annoying when a specific gym gets called out for "injuring their gymnasts". It makes me think the commenter is not or never has been a high level gymnast. Injuries are part of it. Especially at this level.. come on. Bill and Don a Strauss absolutely LOVE their girls. I've watched Bill cry with pride numerous times. They are GOOD coaches who CARE about their gymnasts.

It’s because they use outdated techniques that are better suited for torture than results. Bill doesn’t cry for his athletes, he cries for himself.

My question is why does the floor look smaller compared to now?? And I’m pretty sure jump turns were the biggest thing because it’s like everyone is doing them
@lc1715

I think it's an optical illusion because the TV screen ratio was more of a square still in 2002, whereas now we're used to that widescreen rectangle which allows more of the floor to be seen at all times.

Same size. And yes jump turns were huge. Especially cat leaps.
