Just did this on my kodiak and the brake calipers were STUFFED with seed heads and dry grass. Surprised it never ignited. Also lubed the rear brake pedal and adjusted the brake light switch and reverse gear cable which were way too slack and causing problems. Ran cable lube through to the back.

I couldn't figure out how you pushed the caliper piston back with a pry bar but a c-clamp worked good

Next time use a clamp for the piston and use grease on the pins! #1 reason for bad calipers is no lubricant on the slider pins

I’m just finally doing this on my 09. The pad is worn through completely and the piston was on the disc. Oops!

I had bought a wolverine where the pad had a hole through it from the piston. Who needs brakes anyways.
