Same issue on my 2012 Q7. Mine finally busted the diaphragm and it made a loud high pitch squeal. If you remove the oil cap it goes away. Warning, black plastic pipes crumble bc of heat rot. I had to replace the coolant pipe under the supercharger laying on the Pcv valve, as I removed it, it crumbled at the o ring. I barely touched the small hose on the front top of the engine and it snapped off.(thermostat pipe) Be careful.

@@vitaliks1452 -So, I have a question: How to know the difference between a PVC valve problem, or a head gasket problem? I had a teeny bit of light brown oil in the oil cap, a very small amount, so I am thinking that it is the PCV valve, as it still had power, whereas, if it were the head gasket, it would have diminished power, right? PLus, no leaks around the head gasket that I can see drips or deposits from. Or what can also be the problem?
@vitaliks1452
2 жыл бұрын
@@GreenTekHaus The PCV valve works as a oil separator from the crank case oil fumes. If PCV valve will not do its job, too much oil will enter the air intake and into the cylinders. This way it will burn oil slowly. And your oil level will drop overtime. If you have a head gasket problem Pressure from the cylinders might enter the cooling system and you can have bubbles showing up in the coolant reservoir when the engine is started. This will cause the engine to overheat and loose coolant. Also a bad head gasket can Cause cylinder pressure to escape into the crankcase and cause excessive crankcase pressure with a possible check engine light. It all depends where the head gasket goes bad and leaks. If the car sits overnight and you start it in the morning and it smells like coolant from the exhaust pipe with white smoke coming out, that is also a symptom of a bad head gasket. And coolant level is dropping.

Just half a year later to develop terrible oil gluttony and be diagnosed with scorched piston rings, dead catalytic converter and coked piston rings. Now I need 10k more and few month of repair, so you just take a bus, - your beautiful bucket of bolts says. Audi is an overpriced, extremely unreliable sickness that makes the driver feel edgy and uneasy any time you are behind driving wheel tainting completely the feeling of contentment that you were expecting to experience from this "vehicle". How healthy is the driving experience when you are afraid to take a long trip outside of a large city; and while driving jumping on a driver seat with your heart jumping out any time you hear some squeek? What if water pump fails, what if my timing chain will burst damaging engine, what if oil leak develops? To hell with this bucket.
