I need to see how they look head on driving down the road. That drives me crazy too. If it's got a mean glare, aiming can be a big help. Verdict is still out, initially impressed. Haven't driven it enough to see if everyone on the road hates me yet.

I'd pull the bulb out and dry out the housing with an air gun. Then reinstall the bulb and make sure it seats flush.

Concerned about that top boot, you no longer have a water proof/mud proof seal! How do those led bulbs function with the day time running module ? Any issues there.
@MasterJacks
5 жыл бұрын
Good questions. I'm not too worried about the boot. It prevents grime from getting into the overall housing, but the bulb itself seals the lense assembly. The bulbs do turn on and off normally with the ambient light sensor. I was initially concerned about the contact the heat sink was making with the housing and boot, worrying that it might melt something, but the manufacturer ensured me the sink does a good job of keeping things from getting that hot. So far, that's held true. No sign of excess temperature damage. I'm hoping they do well in the long run because I really enjoy the look. Thanks for the comment!

I just put a set of Techmax LEDs in my 2016 f150 and it looks great straight ahead but the light beam gets choppy and has some lines in the pattern on the sides...idk if it's due to the brand of light or due to the reflector housing....do you have this issue?

Any idea why my 2016 f150 would be throwing a code for the passenger side low beam after I converted to LED high and low beams? It’s only throwing a code for the passenger low beam the rest all check out perfectly. Lights are sealight brand. They have the resistors built in so I am not sure why it’s only throwing the code for the one bulb
@MasterJacks

I'm not sure . You could try swapping it over to the left side to see if it follows the bulb. If so, you might have to replace that bulb.

I put LED in my 2015 and the passenger side low beam is on for a moment then wont stay on Ive switched bulbs out and tried new ones. Ive been told I need a Can Bus thing (resistor, diode, anti flicker module whatever) did you have to get one too. I also installed smoked headlights and went with the LED to offset how much light they would restrict with the regular filament bulbs. Any input is appreciated.

I did not install a module with my bulbs, but it sounds like it can help with a variety of problems. It's strange to me that in your case, it's only affecting a single bulb (not common to both sides). Sounds like high resistance in that circuit. It's working for a minute, then the resistance is causing heat and the computer is shutting it down. If your connections look good (no corrosion or poor contact) and a standard bulb works fine in that socket, a module might help in your case. I haven't been down that road yet, so I don't have a recommendation on what to buy. Hope you work it out. I'm interested in learning what you find.
