Sounds good!...... I was one of the founding members of the PA Chapter 16 Red Knights out of Worthington, if that is the firefighter group you are talking about. I ran with them for about three years before I decided I didn't have the time to commit. The older guys on Harleys definitely dish it out to the metric guys. I am disappointed that Yamaha will not be continuing the manufacturing of the Eluder for next year or any year for that matter. I shouldn’t be concerned considering I ride a bike that a company no longer manufactures . The rest of the time it was in the shop. I don’t want to buy another bike with issues like that again. Lily for me I got the extended warranty. Personally I've heard more issues with the challenger than I have with this bike like I said in myOther comment this is a large V twin so naturally things will sound louder when you put it in 1st gear it does clunk but that is almost natural in any other large V twin... I have done some hard long pulls where I keep the throttle open and just quick shift up through gears And have not felt or heard any issues in my transmission or clutch But I will say what I tell everyone you need to choose the bike that you feel is best for you I can only give you my opinions and they are my opinions only and my experiences but you need to sit on them try to ride them pick what is right and wrong for you and that will be the way to choose the right bike....
