This is my 5th one I did, in Canada Mercedes dealer recommend every 4 year or 60000 km you change the spark plugs on these. It took me almost 2 hours. The hardest part is the two coil packs in the rear of the engine. On the passenger side you need to remove the T25 or T30 on the vacuum pump line on the pump. Also there is a tiny coolant hose running right above the coil pack, you need to be very careful and not to break it. On the driver side (left side), you can fish out the coil without taking out the high pressure fuel line. You particularly pull the coil pack half way, and then you get a little more flexibility. I usually run the car for a bit. Let the coolant temp be around 50-60C. Open the coolant cap on both reservoirs Release the coolant pressure and start taking off the coolant hoses on ecm I found that warm coolant temp helps coils pack are easier to come out. And the coolant hose are softer (a little more flexible) Next car I will do a full video if time is available Cheers mate 😀

No need, I replace 10ish on the same engine over 2 years, no problem at all 😊

Great video. Would welcome a full diy on the plug change. Also, have you done an air oil separator (AOS) preemptive replacement to prevent the rear main seal blowout? If so, would appreciate a video walking through how to.

@@exploreyour4359 I think one the e63s, you need to drop the engine to remove the charge air cooler and gain access to the oil separator
