I hear you on the Craftsman junk made nowadays. I've found that anything new made by Craftsman is going to be trash essentially but the old stuff is great. I have a old Craftsman radial arm saw my grandfather bought new i think back in the 80s and it still going strong and stays true. It is great to have also having a small workshop because it's like having a mitre saw, and table saw, and router table, workbench, etc. all in one tool that doesn't take up much space.

Now that's my kind of shop. Use what you have and make the best use of it. It just goes to show you that you don't need a fancy shop building with a lot of the latest expensive tools. You can get good used tools all over the place, just look for them. It's also nice to see someone who has some of the same junky Craftsman tools I have. (or had) I have the cheapest little dovetail jig from Craftsman that I have used for about 35 years. It works great so why should I buy a new expensive one? I have had good old Craftsman tools of all kinds for many years, some were my dad's from the 50's and 60's and still working. --- Good work and keep having fun making things...........

I actually moved this year into a garage “shop” gained some square footage in the move so I’m happy. This little 15x15 was actually about 10x10 of workable space with the tools against the walls and building large casework was a challenge! Hopefully I’ll come up with some clever storage solutions for the new space as well. Thanks for watching!

Everything in your shop is so similar to mine lol. I have the exact same band saw I picked up for $75 and a very similar drill press. My drill press is an older Delta made in 93 but it's basically the same size and same design. I picked it up for $30 and it was covered in surface rust which cleaned up very nicely and now looks great. I also have an older Delta scroll saw and I was given a 7-ft long workbench with an older vise attached by a neighbor who was moving and did not want it. Most things that I bought I found on craigslist, LetGo or local garage sales. When I built my shop I was on a hyper budget and found some great deals just being patient. Great video

A lot of people get hung up on having new, shiny everything, but in doing that, they learn nothing. I just tried to find what i could for a reasonable price every time i needed a new tool to build a project. It doesn’t make for the prettiest shop on KZitem but i learned a lot in a short time. Thanks for watching and hopefully I’ll do another tour this year from my new shop. 😃

That craftsman drill press looks surprisingly similar to my older Ryobi drill press. Even has the same drawing inside I believe! Probably all made at the same Chinese factory and re-badged. I like the bench castors and the outfeed/assembly table. I reckon that's the next thing I make because my table saw seems to always be my assembly table! While I don't think the plywood storage would work for me, it did give me an idea on utilising my ceiling area a bit more. The more I can get up off the floor the better!

This is a fantastic woodworking book, “Bαzοmο Tdy Plαn” (Google it). I`m a graduate of a one-year carpentry program from a local tech college. Of all books I`ve read during my study about carpentry, I think this is the greatest book I`ve read so far. It describes everything regarding wood working as well as complements it with useful images. .
