Hey John, huge fan of your channel!. I live in Illinois and when some people hear about the midwest they think about boring farmland riding but for all of us riders out here if you're going anywhere on two wheels who cares where you're from or where you're going: just keep on rolling. Me and my friends call ourselves the Prison City "in-laws" because were all about following the rules and we're huge dorks.

Currently stationed in Oahu and ride a 2018 Heritage 107 and ride the island all the time, but t is one of the most breathe taking rides on the west and east side. And there is several roads that you can ride that have some twisties that are a blast to ride. And it’s a whole different biker mindset than on the mainland.
Rt 101 is an amazing ride. But the mountains are the best

I'm in the Boston area of Massachusetts and riding here is all I know. The roads are trash, traffic is super aggressive, and we have wet leaves in the fall and road salt in winter which is why my FXDL's all pitted. If you can ride here all 4 seasons, you can ride anywhere. When I'm able to slip away for a day (RARE) and scoot on down to the South Shore, riding feels like paradise. Cranberry bogs, open fields, twisties, but man, they're building so fast here all our open space is disappearing in a hurry.

Western Washington has everything for a great adventure. Multiple mountains with streams to follow to the top. Curves through densely forested roads or if that is not what you want you can ride eastward over any number of mountain passes to find roads in the desert. Also, you can head west and take a coastal highway and cruise along the pacific ocean with a cool salty breeze in your face.

I live on Maui and there are some great routes. Haleakala climbs a 10,000ft mountain of twisties. My favorite ride on Maui goes up to 3,000 feet elevation so the air is cool, the road is super twisty, with an awesome view of the ocean and mountains. Take Hansen road to omaopio and ride south until you pass ulupalakua Ranch. Continue until you need to go home. (On my 48, I get sore after 2-3 hours) The road and views are incredible. If you have a motorcycle and love on Maui (or rent a bike there) you must do this.

Dude, My first HD was a '74 XLCH which I kept for a few decades (sold in about '05). You asked about where we live and what the geography was like, I live in Washington (the state) in the great Pacific Northwest. We have a variety of riding conditions here. On the west side of the mountains everything is green, even in the winter there's a lot of green (evergreens). There are also a lot of twisty roads and the amazing ocean beaches. East of the mountains it's more arid, lots of brown and straight roads (okay, there are some twisty roads, check a map). Great state for riding in the Spring, Summer, and fall. Even during the winter we get days when it's not bad for riding (just dress warm). In case you're wondering, I sold the Sportster 'casuse I bought an '03 Heritage and the Sporty wasn't getting used. A few days ago I bought a 2002 Road King so I now have two Harleys again. I think I'll be using both, the Road King is mainly for long rides. I also told my cousin who is now Harleyless that she could come over and we could go riding together, just like old times. Stay cool and stay safe, John (but not too safe).

Currently live on Oahu, it is beautiful but I ride the same rides all the time and yes you can ride the whole island in an afternoon. Also you'll be stuck doing 25 in a 35 and bouncing between 2nd and 3rd for all of Kamehameha Hwy which is the most scenic route. Also the roads are bad and the potholes will put you in the hurt box. The highest speed limit is 60 mph, and that's for like a mile on the H3. I suspect the speed limits are purposely low due to clueless tourists who will come to a full stop in the road if they miss a turn. But it's still impossible to beat, it frickin paradise here.

I had to break the "666" number of thumbs up! Michigan...flat in the south eastern and central portions, sandy in the western...hilly in the central Lower Peninsula heading north, then bigger hills and forest in the Upper Peninsula. We have some towns with "Mount" or "Mountain" in them; Mount Clemens was named as a joke because it was a dry spot in a swamp, and we have Iron Mountain up in God's Country. We are green in the Spring, faded to near brown in the Summer, flashy colors in the Fall, and white in the Winter. The coasts have some great riding as well as roads that follow rivers. All in all, gorgeous in every season up here.

We have close by Hwy. 421 “The Snake” which takes you to Shady Valley, Mountain City or Damascus Va. and Backbone Rock state park with beautiful streams running along the route. We can go north up to SW Virginia.....the town of Tazewell and ride “The Back of the Dragon” which takes you over 3 mountain ridges with awesome twisties that ends in Marion Va. and Hungry Mothers state park. Or we can head east into Western NC and take in Little Switzerland and Blueridge Parkway with beautiful mountain scenery and lots of waterfalls. Then we can go south and hit Gatlinburg Tn. and the Smoky Mountains and ride the infamous “Tail of the Dragon” and the “Cherahola Skyway” or the “Moonshiner” ......you name it we got it close by!
