Keep in mind Hyundai built and tested your everything on your Palisade, so they are gods when it comes what they write in the manual you SHOULD take it as what is recommended. If you install less oil and something happens and dealership determine's you put too less oil in it, Hyundai could void your warranty. The same rule applies so when they suggest you change the oil, if it says 8000km and you do it at 5000km (or whatever that is in miles) no oil are you polluting the earth but you risk voiding your warranty if something was to happen.

@@andrewenglish3810 Hi Andrew, Thank you for your comment, but I strongly disagree. Is still is, and has always been, standard knowledge that you should never overfill an automotive engine with oil. Maddog29 reported a few weeks ago that the F106N won't install. It won't clear the oil pan. I bought the F106SX, but haven't installed it yet. It expect to do that next month. The F106SX should fit because you can rotate and position the body of the valve AFTER you get it installed.

I installed the F106SX. Has been a breeze to change the oil. I used garden shears to cut approx a 1in×1.5in piece from the cover to allow the valve to be free from contact. Unfortunately, you still have to remove the cover to access the filter but it's not too time consuming. I'm trying the Penzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30with the K&N HP-7035; previously had the Penzoil Platinum 5w30. For the filter removal I push up a smaller funnel with tube and drain the excess oil into my oil jug and allow the filter to drop into the funnel upon removal. I start with 6 quarts and typically dont need to add another.
