I bought a brand new 21 premiere for 24k drive out. I couldn't pass up a deal like that. Wife loves it.

Christian G that is so cool to hear! These are some of the best value cars there are and no doubt the best value in an electric. Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoy it and congrats on the purchase! -Jake

Great job pointing out the highlights of the outgoing Bolts. The lightning bolts in the tail lights are sadly gone in the 2022 models. That was also a deciding factor in addition to the fantastic mark downs and incentives that led me to go for a an outgoing Bolt model over the ones with the updates. Also, the Bolt is taller than the Hyundai Kona so the interior size of both are almost identical. The taller roof of the Bolt makes the back seat feel roomier than the Kona as long as you only have two passengers back there. The one thing lacking from the Bolts that I would love to see that is still lacking is a heads-up display.

Conroyjett welcome to the channel and thanks so much for the feedback! It is a shame the taillights are gone and I did not consider that about the Kona! A heads up display would be nice considering GM does such a good job with those. We are hopefully gonna get our hands on a 2022 Bolt EUV soon so then we can truly make the comparison. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a great week! -Jake

I have a 20 Bolt and everyone loves the taillights! They should have continued and even built upon that theme. Design by committee I suppose...

David B we will be sure to point this out in our 22 bolt EV video! It is such a shame those are gone- I might make it a main point of the review haha! Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel :) -Jake

I love my Bolt 2021 but brakes start squeaking after one year. What do I do?

I could have gotten the 2021 for 26,500 but no moon roof and I just liked the Kona electric better… I paid $32,500 after all rebates and tax credit… however the Bolt would have been the one for me if I was on a budget… really good buy!

So the EUV 2022 gives us a new shell only. Nothing really has changed with the electric technology. Just a new shell for 2022.

Not really. New infotainment system, a really stupid push button transmission, new seats, and a stupid front redesign. Older bolt ev looks far better.

With the 22 EV and EUV refresh, GM is doing like Volkswagen is with the ID 4 and making it look more mainstream thinking it will appeal more to the masses and less like saying "Hey I'm an EV! Look at me!". I prefer the unique styling that made the 2017-2021 Bolts standout along with his spartan functional design. I wonder how its relatively simplistic design will mean it will have less maintenance issues down the road with newer EVs that are starting to introduce increasingly complex bells and whistles with more moving parts or electronics that may breakdown overtime like the liftgate and the rooftop glass window shade in the ID4 and the side mirror LED screens in the Ioniq 5. My biggest concern with the 2017-2021 Bolts is that they a/c controls are built into the infotainment screen. If that goes kaput, you are hosed. At least the 2022 refresh has moved those controls to physical buttons outside of the infotainment system.

Claudacious indeed! We are slowly introducing driving experience into more of our videos! Because we are a small channel, there are certain insurance concerns involved however as we have grown we are able to do more driving. Thanks so much for watching! -Jake
