Our neighbor bought a brand new 1030 Comfort King around 1967. I was 3 years old at the time, but spent many acres with my dad plowing. The neighbor’s nephew had a new 4020 Deere, and with both tractors pulling 5-16s, the Case ran circles around that Deere. I really miss those days.

I was there, you should have recorded the hay ride wagon that took people out in the field, good idea but should pull it with a old tractor or horses for Plow Days. The day was a bit dusty but a fun day, I was glad to see the MF 1130, Oliver 1755 , Case 1030 and JD 420. I can't believe not one Farmall M at a Plow Day lol. Tractors I would like to see: Ford 6000, 8000,8600,9000,9600, MM G 900 G 1000, 5 Star, M5, and any G7xx series. MF 1150, 1155 , MH 444 and 555, Case DC, 400 ,700 and 800, AC 190XT , D21 and 220, Farmall 650 , 660 and 1206, JD 330 , 430 and 435, Oliver 990 and 995. A big list of my Plow Day " want to see's" LOL .

Interesting video Sir . I used to do custom plowing in 1968 - 1980 mostly converting pasture/sod into farming land and around 6 to 7 " deep so we didn't have already worked land . We also plowed milo stalks right behind the combine sometimes when they were still in the same field .

At 12 years old I was disking with a JD 4010 that had a 4020 kit on it. Do you know what that kit consisted of? I saw a 4320 in the video. I see they only made it for two years. I thought I was really something when I was able to use it. Cab, ac and heat…and a radio! Paul Harvey and Tradio got me through many afternoons! Thanks for all you do to bring these videos to us!

All 4010 that were overhauled had 4020 "kit". The 4010 was a gutless wonder so it was bored out to 404 Cu in, no original 4010 kits were made because it was the same block as a 4020, just the sleeves were thinner. Even that didn't help the power much, but it was better

...there has to be a better way for tractor drivers to see the towed implement(s) without having to constantly keep looking/checking over the shoulder, swiveling in the seat, back and forth hour after hour after HOUR! Eee GADS I'd go crazy and I can only imagine how tiring this alone must be. I'm thinking a platform where the driver can change driving position from a north/south orientation to an east/west position...I'm surprised an inventive farmer hasn't come up with a solution...mirrors, cameras, something, anything! Perhaps I'm looking for a problem for my solution?

Ol Brad's 1030 is a immaculate repower! He did it right when you put a 504 in a 1030 by making it hydraulic steering and he fixed the hood up to where he didn't have to cut it for the turbo to fit. The nice step is a great addition to it.

The Ford 4000 in the video is the older style 4 cylinder model. The new 3 cylinder models came out in 1965, I think they were called the World Tractor. Dad had a 1966 4000 split grille, later they went to the one piece grille. Good old tractors! Love the videos, thanks for helping to keep the old tractors chuggin' and luggin'.

I have to vote for the 630 and the 4020's. I don't have a plow for my 4020 yet, but I bought a F620H 3-16" recently to pull behind my 630. I hope to do some plowing with it this fall, but harvest is already 3 weeks behind last year and I don't think there will be much time for play before winter comes.
