Do you haul the big International and disks on one truck ,two, or multiple trips?
@bigtractorpower

I just drove it to the field. The plow day was only a few miles away. It would take two trucks to move the tractor and disk if I was traveling somewhere with it.

@04:54: The Ford 4000 in this video appears to be of the mid-series, also known as the X-series, which had the louvers in the white stripe on the side of the hood, as well as a different grill than the later Y-series, which had FORD written in the white stripe on the side of the hood. The Switch from the X-series to the Y-series took place with the 1968 model year. These tractors were similar to the ones produced in Basildon, England for the European market. Prior to 1965, a Ford 4000 was sold in North America based on the prior Ford 801: www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/003/7/7/3771-ford-4000.html

You need to get yourself a real tractor, 8 wheels and 4 wheel drive is kinda taking the bus ain't it

Super glad to see that old Case SC running and working. That goofy looking steering system is what let's the youngster handle that tractor in the field with no power steering. That long arm on the front people like to poke fun of and call ugly gives the operator a lot of leverage! Great video

The SC is a great classic. It was a popular seller in the area when it was new.

@@bigtractorpower It was a very different design, the rear differential wasn't even gears, it was driven by VERY large chain in an oil bath. I think that is how they achieved their gear reduction and kept cost in line. My father in law got an old one as part of a trade for some work he did, it was a later model but it was quite rare as it came as new with the 540 pto, the eagle hitch, the hydraulic power(single hose for lift) and maybe most rare a foot clutch. Also a dealer installed front loader(which was totally trashed) we had a lot of fun and interesting discoveries fixing that one up, including finding the chain in the rear when we took the cover off.

I really like seeing the 35 Massey Ferguson they are a good little tractors . I have a IMT 539 the same tractor as the 35 Massey Ferguson. I mowed hay with it a 7ft sickle bar mower a 451 New Holland did great just have to add some weight to the tractor . They are great tractors to rake hay with. I used it pulling a 56 NH roller bar rake and a 10 wheel V- speed rake a 55 Kuhn. It can pull the v-rake in 1st high with no problem and that's plenty fast enough to stay ahead of the baler. Enjoy the video

Those 930's and 1030's could always pull above their weight. Those long stroke engines, I think full throttle on a 930 is like 1800RPM. And they will lug!

My uncle had an International 560 Farmall I spent many hours on. I enjoyed driving it more than his 660 and 1206 Farmall. The 560 would do almost 20 h in road gear and could turn on a dime using the wheel brakes.

That model A John Deere @ 15:08 has more than 24 hp. This looks like a 1947 - 1952 model A JD, which has 38.02 belt hp and 34.14 drawbar hp.

Thank you for the info. It’s hard to tell the model years while filming so I went with the generic production run and the listed belt hp I had from an original sales brochure. I have a pretty complete sales brochure collection from 1965 to today but 1964 and back is often just one copy of a classic tractor.

Love your video's,all of them ,but just to clear up a few things this ole guy has some facts, Do Farmall M's & super M's even though they have the same engine do not have the same HP being as the Super M's run 300 more RPM than a straight M, also that 820 JD is actually an 80 with the solid green good and the 50-60-70 & 80 letters in the JD name,all the 20 series had the yellow strip on the side of the hood with bigger block JD letters, sometimes being OLD had advantages but not many😁.

I asked the owner of the green 820 with the cab twice if it was not an 80. He said it is an 820. I trust him in that he has a fleet of two cylinder 20 and 30 models that are used in tobacco each year. There was a green 420 at this event too. I have always though 20s had yellow side panels. I am going to have to talk to the farmer more.

The single wheel 420 was cool. I was not able to catch it plowing close up. I was glad to get a distance shot if it. It was dry. Some tractors only made 1 or two passes so I could not get them all filmed plowing. The next day we got 3 inches of rain. 😁👍

Thanks for a great video. Sound of your 4786 is awesome😎 There is couple tractors which are also pretty common in here Finland too, Ford 4000 and MF35. I think that Ford 2000 is different than in Europe. Very nice semi in the end, it sounded also so good.

Thank you for watching from Finland. Very cool. The 2000 shown would be the earlier version before the squared off blue and white look was introduced in 1966. Most people would think of the body style of the 4000 shown in this video for a 2000 to a 7000. Early on the 2000 to 4000 had a grey and red design that came from the Workmaster and Jubilee. Any 4786 or IH 4wds in Finland?
@JS-1983

@@bigtractorpower I think there isn't any 4786 or any other Steiger-built ih 4wd in Finland. Nearest thing i know and have seen is Cougar III, there could be some more of 70's Steigers in here, but not many. I have heard some farm in Finland bought two Ford FW (dont know number) tractors when new, don't know are those still in Finland or not. In Sweden (neighbor country) they have some Steiger-built IH's along other Steigers and many of those are bought in new at 70's, not after imported. Many older Steigers in Sweden have their engines swapped to Scania 14 litre V8 which was very common truck engine there. Scania still makes V8 powered trucks.
