I don't get Ribeiro slowly walking across the deck to set up for his next trick - skateboards have wheels on them for a reason. Also, having Mike Mo and Kelly Hart judge a contest that ends up being 90% handrail tricks when, in the totality of their combined careers, they have skated ONE handrail, is pretty silly. They might as well be judging a vert contest.

I personally think that choosing random semi retired pro skaters to be judges is probably just a bad idea because a lot of them are fucking morons. They don't need to be well known pro skaters, they need to be people who know skateboarding very well and have the intelligence and discipline to research the judging criteria and remember how to enforce them consistently. They don't have Mike Tyson judge boxing matches cause he used to be a really good/famous boxer. The fact these judges can have brand or even personal connection with certain contestants is also insane. It literally seems like they are choosing scores at random some times

@@sk8_bort Yeah its one thing to see the scoring change from day to day, like a trick seen and scored on a friday, might result in a slightly different scoring the following day... but the inconsistently of the judging throughout the same day is just awful, once the standards are set in heat 1, the judges gotta keep those same standards going till the last heat to ensure a fair comp, they cant suddenly start handing out high scores at whim.
