Thanks for the video. I received the same kit and was wondering what the order of these collars and adapters are, haven't installed yet. I think you got it right from what I've gathered in my research. Would have been nice to have some instructions from Race Tech though.

Thanks for watching! I did my best, I put about 4hrs on bike off road, rear shock seem to be functioning well.

Greetings, As always another brilliant detailed video 🇺🇸🎉🍾🇺🇸 Did the rear end lower, since the spring is shorter? Thank you so much for assisting me and keep producing more videos about the CRF.

My ride height basically stayed the same after install, just became stiffer.

Great video as usual. A little update in my decision to buy the new 24'klx or crf. Local kawi dealer has no new or 23' klx in stock except the super moto, which is out of the question. The Honda dealership in my area is also out of stock and there's a waiting list. I dont really want to buy used. But im definitely enjoying the build series your doing on the crf. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the crf vs klx.

I have a crf, I think in hindsight I might go kawasaki. I'm about to spend $600 on suspension, and the kawasaki comes with way better suspension. Just make sure the aftermarket is there for the ecu and exhaust

Why not put 1 collar at each end, instead of both at one?

Your video is correct! This is the correct order of components. The assembly order starting from the body end/preload nut side is: SPSC P575519 large spacer. Shock Spring SESP 90225 Series (make sure you measure the uncompressed length of the spring before installation) SPSC B5552N SPSC B5855N These two sizing collars are stacked on top of each other Stock Collar Stock Retaining Plate Loctite jamb nut with red Loctite. Set suggested preloaded. Set sag. Done!

And this is why I went with the KLX. I don’t mind working on my bike but this just seems like a lot of monkeying around that may or may not be right. I’d be worried about the durability too on that collar.

So your KLX is sprung exactly right for your weight ? You're lucky

Seems like a waste of time and money to put a nice spring on a piece of garbage shock that you can’t adjust the rebound or compression on.

You’d be surprised what those garbage shocks can do I had race tech custom build me a shock that blew up three times in less than 6 laps…. When I put the stock one back on it was still soft but didn’t fuckin explode on me to the point of total failure and ending my ride day. That stupid fuckin shock cost me over a grand I’ll never ever use race tech again had gold emulator valves and springs for the forks and that too was garbage compared to some bbr springs

@@chrisvillarreal2752 i a not a race tech fan either. I did a gold valve shock and forks and was not impressed. I did replace the shock with an Öhlins TTX shock that was fantastic.
