that's a great Peter's Honey! Mine is just about a foot tall and has about five figs main crop for the first time. I finally did an inventory of my figs and discovered that I have over 50 with 22 varieties. My best producer this year is a three year old San Miro which is a San Pedro variety and it has about 30 brebas which should ripen later this month. I'm in Victoria, BC. and live about half a mile from the cold north Pacific ocean which never gets over 14 Centigrade so growing figs here is challenging. Thsnks for your video. John

Sounds like you are a dedicated fig grower! I LOVED my San Pedro variety "Adriatic Grasa," which is very similar to Desert King. Unfortunately we had voles eat the bark on the tree and killed it. Sad, because we LOVED the HUGE tasty breba that it grew. I've got another one that I am growing so that we can replace it. :-) Keep up the great work!

Being in Ohio it would be great to see how your inground trees are doing with your winter project strategy

So far all of my winterizing techniques have failed. However this past winter I simply laid down some straw and that seemed to have better results than my more "advanced" techniques. :-)

Great job on the videos do some more tasting when the time comes for ripe figs. CLBC is on my list to get.

Thank you. I'm sure you will like the CLBC! I think it has better resistant to the rain than Black Madeira KK.

I’m in Ohio too! I’m into persimmons and just starting to get into figs. I’m around an hour south of Cleveland. Maybe we can trade scions and cuttings?

Very nice!!! This year has just slipped right on by me. You and I were musing last year on how figs would do here in Utah. To late to do anything now. Next season for sure! Obsession? Passion? I’d say a little of both. 😉

I'd say you still have time if you're serious about planting one.
