You have to buy the center sight mount, it’s made by Montana Black Gold sights. I’d stick with the SS over the SR for 3D. I’m too knowledgeable about rabbit and fox hunting so I couldn’t accurately address that for you.

I have a 2011 Bowtech Invasion CPX that is also 31.5" axel to axel, but it weighs 3.9 lbs vs 4.5 and has an IBO rating of 343 vs. 337 on this new Core SS. The Invasion has a 7" brace height vs. 6.25" on the Core SS. And my Invasion has a nice, real wood, grip. It still works fine for me and kills deer even though it is 13 years old. But I've never shot a more recent model. I know the new Bowtechs can be tuned without a press, but assuming my Invasion is tuned properly, what might be a significant difference with a new bow worth paying $1,300 for? I saw a fully loaded Invasion like mine with sight, rest, case and quiver sell for $220 on Ebay recently. Couldn't believe it.

If you’re happy with the invasion, I don’t think it would be an upgrade. The best bow is the one you shoot comfortably. I loved the invasion, they were solid shooters. I do like the adjustable grip on the new core. I haven’t messed with the time lock feature, but the flip mods are pretty neat when you’re trying to figure out how you like the bow.
