On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse swept across much of the United States, entering via Texas and exiting through Maine. After weeks of calculations, planning and preparation, we set out on an 850 mile road trip to, Lord willing, witness the eclipse along Greers Ferry Lake in north-central Arkansas.
Both the weather, and the spot we chose for photos proved to be perfect. Though out in the middle of nowhere, people from around the world (as far away as Holland) also found their way to this little boat ramp to enjoy the amazing display.
Arriving about 90 minutes before the eclipse began, we setup eight cameras (Canon SLR and mirrorless camera, and a few smaller time lapse cameras) as well as prepped our two drones. It was overkill. But hey - once in a lifetime, right?
And here's the result of our work - The Great American Solar Eclipse Volume II! Volume one is from our trip to Columbia, SC to experience the last Great American Solar Eclipse in 2017. We hope you enjoy!
