Gus, Thanks. The accessory that took the most time to install was the Meter Bracket. It was also the only accessory that risked damage to the Dax e as you have to take off the headlight surround to fit the bracket, and if you aren't careful, you can damage the plastic tabs on the surround. I reverted the Meter Bracket install last night and put the meter back in its stock location. I didn't like that it put a strain on the wiring harness, and also that it moved the all the front wiring connections out in the weather instead of hiding them inside of the headlight surround. After putting the meter back in it's original location, I simply moved the Front Binding bag forward one bar on the front shelf. It works fine there and the meter is still easy to read.

What a stunning bike with the accessories. The colors really look special. That bike is made for the living room! Saw your mention of the Jonny boat… THAT looks pretty neat!

Tim, Thanks for the comment, much appreciated. The Jonny boat is temping, but I don't really want to get a trailer for it. If I put it in the Transit Connect, it would stick four feet out the back. A bigger problem is that my neighbor "Lightfoot" would want it and then I'd have to go out on rescue missions when she had motor trouble. I am still thinking about it though. It would be fun to buy it and put all the Cub House accessories on it.

Matt, Thanks.. the next big project here happens when the 2024 Trail 125 arrives. As far as I can tell, none have shown up in Florida yet. They have been in the mid-west, mid-Atlantic, and New England now for a couple of weeks. Until it arrives, it is tough to keep ideas coming. Cub House just announced a JONNY boat Bass-100/Honda 2.3 outboard special in all their showrooms. Yesterday, I visited my local JONNY boat dealer to see a Bass 100, but they didn't have any in stock. On the web, all the colors are sold out except for Orange and Army Green. The web site made me think that JONNY boats were made by Jonny in North Carolina, but the dealer said no, they are made in Thailand. If you read "about JONNY, they say that JONNY is a concept, not a real person, and the theme is much like the Cub House, "built by us, finished by you" marketing. There are a ton of accessories for the JONNY boat. Once I heard JONNY boats were made in Thailand, the whole thing started making sense. I haven't studied Honda 2.3 outboards, but I'd say it is likely they are made in Thailand too. I had been wondering what Cub House would sell next, as their Monkey 125, CT125, Dax 125 and Super Cub 125 lineup was starting to get a bit stale, and they needed a new product for growth. @@Vintage_Garage Vaughn, that’s all very interesting, yes, it must be a challenge for Cub House to identify new products to grow to enable them to keep everything fresh.

I would like to see if it's possible to replace the headlight with something brighter and the anti-theft alarm be replaced with something louder

@thelaw_00, Thanks for watching and your comment. I just realized that I haven't yet ridden the Dax e at night, so I don't know how bright the headlight is. I will test that tonight. If I was going to make the light brighter, I think I would try to install a pair of PIAA lights like I put on one of my Honda Trail 125s. I don't think I will, as I think for the most part, I won't be riding the Dax e after dark, and also, I don't want to take a chance of damaging it's electrical circuitry, as there are no spare parts and also no knowledge about them, and no service manual in the USA if I need to make repairs. When the anti-theft alarm is triggered, the motor locks up, so you can't roll the Dax e. In a bad neighborhood, I am not sure if a louder alarm would make much difference as a thief would quickly throw it in a truck and drive off, but I hear you. An aftermarket loud alarm might be helpful in a bad neighborhood. I think though, just like with the PIAA lights, I don't want to mess with the electrical system on the Dax e as there is no backup plan if I blow something up it it.

The bag on the front,I would have turned it around so the opening is towards the driver and the wind wouldnt catch on the flap.

Thanks, I will try turning it around. It would have less wind resistance that way. All of the online pictures show it the way I have it, but they also show the Meter raised by the Meter Bracket. With the Meter above the bag on front, I don't think you can open the bag if it is reversed. But since I reverted the Meter back to it's original location, the bag could be opened with the flap to the rear. It is also obvious based on the hardware that came with that bag, that the bag is really meant to be a rear top case. There are online photos of that round "Binding Bag" mounted on a rear rack as a top case.

hello, I'm watching your channel, I recently purchased a honda dax e, could you help me, I can't figure out how to connect to the application, how to activate Bluetooth itself on a scooter? when trying to connect for 2 minutes, it cannot find it. Could you explain it to me or record a video in more detail. There is no information at all.

@user-dr5bc8tp2z. I see the same thing as you and don't have the answer. I also replied to your question on Reddit, with a little more information, but still no solution. I am deducing that you might be in Bulgaria and are probably the only one with a Dax e there. I was starting to think my problems are USA related, so it is helpful to find someone in another country with the same problem. I think our only hope is to get help from someone in the Philippines. There are a lot of e-bike dealers selling Dax e there. I have never been able to get the Bluetooth light to light up on the Dax e dashboard. It would be great if you could post a photo of your Dax e on the reddit page, much appreciated.

Out of all the bikes you've built accessory setups for, do you have a favorite to ride and do you have a favorite for kit setup?
@Vintage_Garage
6 ай бұрын
@Jayson1940D14. Thanks for watching and your question. I think it deserves a long answer, with the short answer at the end. First, understand that I am 5'6" tall, so a Honda Trail 125, a Super Cub 125, and the Monkey 125 all fit me like a glove. I don't have the problems with any of them that tall riders have trying to make the bike fit them. I never hit the lift handle on a Trail 125 rear rack. I also like the heal shifter on the Super Cubs and the Trails but shift them with the pad of my foot, and not my heal. I have never been interested in moving the handlebars. I also don't want to go faster than 50 mph on any of them, so lack of faster speed is irrelevant to me. Thus, I have none of the popular complaints of any of them. I live in Florida, and have no hills on any of the trails or really any of the roads, so hill climbing performance is also irrelevant to me. I also think all of the seats are comfortable. I have never changed a seat, a sprocket, a chain or an exhaust system. All are fine just as they are. I have two Super Cubs, four Trail 125s (and a fifth on the way), two Monkeys, one Navi, four Motocompactos, the Dax e, and about 15 50cc Honda scooters. With that as background, if I plan to make a trail ride on a trail I have never ridden, I usually ride it first with a beat up Metropolitan scooter. If I get stuck, I can usually get it out, and worst case, I can stash it the woods and walk out. The Trail 125s are starting to get too heavy for me especially loaded up with all the accessories, so I would choose a Monkey over a Trail 125 for trail riding, especially if I know the trail will be sandy. As far as I can remember, I have never used a center rack on a Trail 125, yet I put them on all of mine. I ride the Navi when I am tired and just want to go for a ride. I rarely ride at night and if I do, I would take the Farm Campster with the PIAA lights. Right now, the Dax e is the most fun to ride, as the acceleration beats everything else and the ride is super relaxing. I have a rear rack for it on the way, and will mount a Sundiro Honda rear top case when the rack arrives. That will add the potential for neighborhood errands and shopping trips. If I have friends over, we ride 50cc scooters as none of them have motorcycle endorsements on their drivers license. The rough ride on the Motocompactos is frankly inexcusable, but I am not using them as intended. I don't drive to a parking garage 3 miles from a downtown job. My friends enjoy riding a Motocompacto once. I blew up one of the Motocompactos and parts seem to be unavailable, and Honda dealers don't even know how to take them apart. I like all the Trail 125s, Monkeys, and Super Cubs about the same, and choose depending on my mood and where I plan to go. If I am going shopping, and want to carry a lot home, I would ride the Super Cub with the Honda Business Box on the back. If I had to only have one, at my age, I would choose the Super Cub 125 with the rear seat and rear foot pegs, and give up trail riding.

could we get the link for the bags?

@michaelcleveland9074, Thanks for watching. Here is one of many links to the bags: www.buyechina.com/en/goods/detail/60OmhWLXqzoqfMEllNbpiE4j I didn't put the link in the description, because I can't really recommend BuyEChina. While their web site works very well, and they are trustworthy, the buying process is very slow, and until you develop trust in them as I have, you will be worried the whole time you are buying a product from China using the BuyEChina buying service. Here is the process: 1. Create an account on BuyEChina 2. Find a product you want to buy from China and see how much it costs: 3. Send a Western Union MoneyGram (WU charges $15 for this) to a person you don't know in China that is a few dollars more than the cost of the item. 4. In a couple of days, the money will show up in your BuyEChina account. 5. Buy the item using your BuyEChina account. They will order the item and you will get a message in a week or two that they now have the item. 6. The next step is to ship the item, and you will get five or six choices (UPS, Sea Freight, FedEx, etc.) and you will see the price for each. The price for anything faster than sea freight will be more than the cost of the item. All of the shipping costs will be more than you are led to believe when you are on the buying page. Decide which you want to use for shipping. 7. Send another Western Union MoneyGram (WU charges $15 for this) to the same person to cover the cost of the shipping you chose. In a couple of days the money will show up in your BuyEChina account. When it does, pay for the shipping, and your item will show up at your house in the timeframe listed in your shipping choices. Expect the process to take a month, even if you choose express shipping. It will take about three weeks just to buy the item, pay for it, choose your shipping and pay for the shipping. Express shipping may be well over $200 on the bags, and perhaps as low as $100 for the cheapest non-ocean rate. I am now in the process of buying a rear rack for the Dax e so I can mount a Sundiro Honda top box on it. I am in the middle of step 5, waiting to hear that BuyEChina has received the item. I still don't know what the shipping cost will be. As far as I know, there is no other buying service in China that is better. BuyEChina does have a "Search by Photo" button that is amazing. I was never able to find much in the way of Dax e accessories on Aliexpress, where shipping costs would be less than $10, and you can pay with PayPal. The problem is that it is a bitch to search Aliexpress, and I never could find much there that was Dax e related. Please let me know the outcome, and if you can find a better solution.
