@@Vintage_Garage The average lawn mower has a larger engine, but this thing is a fantastic bike. I'm getting the yellow one in a month. I'm just waiting for it to be delivered.

@@Objectivityiskey I hear you.. if you aren't a tall person, you will really enjoy your new bike. At 5'6" tall, it fits me perfectly. I have five of them and ride them all, but taller riders have many complaints. They'll need a longer seat, will want to remove the rear grab handle, and those with big feet never learn to shift it properly by pushing down with their toes, and never pulling up with their toes. They just complain that the shifter doesn't' fit their boots and they install longer shift levers with the rear pad on the shifter cut off completely defeating the beauty of shifting the gearbox, rather than taking the time to learn how to do it properly. As one famous US radio personality said, "Humor should be left to the professionals".. LOL.. I don't think you will compare it to a lawnmower once you have it, unless you have a 50 mph lawnmower with no blades.

@richardduke9788, Thanks for watching. It is hot here now, and so my plan is to try to add three accessories each morning, and quit work at 10:00 AM. I think I can install all the Kitaco accessories in about five mornings. The real unknown is how long it will take me to install the camo kit. That might be the only thing I install that morning.

@ncyankeealva. I hear you on that. When I got the Trail home and set it next to my 2023 Monkey, it is a pretty close match. The *YR354* (BANANA YELLOW) is very close to the *YR344* (TURMERIC YELLOW). Both have sort of a bit of orange in them, unlike lemon yellow.

@annafraley5388, Thanks.. as you know, this week is forecast to be pretty warm, so making the Farm Campster video will take me a few days. I think a good plan is to try to install roughly three accessories each morning, until done. That way I can stop working about 10:00 each morning. This morning, was the Kitaco Crossbar, H2C/Motowolf phone holder and the front MOLLE bag. I got a late start, but with the MOLLE bag mounted on the crossbar, I now have a place to carry cheeseburgers, dog biscuits, and a drink. Before adding those, the Trail wasn't useful for much. The next most important accessory is the rear box, but I'll save mounting that for a few days. I'm working front to back, so orange Barkbusters and the Kitaco front rack are next on the list.

@matthubbard8541, Thanks for the encouragement. I wrestled with what to do with the Kitaco camo kit. I hate the idea of removing the Honda decals, but then I realized that the two side panels that say "Trail 125" on them are inexpensive, so I ordered them at the Parts Counter when I was picking up the Trail two days ago. If it turns out that I don't like the camo look, I can change back to the Honda OEM. I also have a set of OEM decals, but since the side panels are so cheap, I just decided to use them and save the decals on the shelf. Same for the "Full Monty". If you use all the stickers in the Kitaco kit, then you eliminated the words "Honda" on the main pipe covers. Those covers are a bit pricier, just a bit over $100 each, but I decided to order a set anyway. They will be handy if I ever have a big crash as well. I think I will install the back half of the sticker set, and it I don't mess that up, then I think I will install the front half as well.

@@Vintage_Garage Be interesting to see how it all turns out. It’s always difficult in deciding how far you take the project with the parts you are, or have already obtained. Please don’t anticipate any “big crashes” Vaughn 😂 I’m sure the bike will look just fine no matter what you decide to do.

Gus, thanks for watching and your comment. Not sure where Henry is, and my other neighbor, Dee, who helps me unload is a snowbird. Dee and his wife are now in Michigan for the summer. I installed the Kitaco crossbar on the handlebars this morning, and also the MOLLE bag and H2C cell phone holder that I put on all the Trails, and then stopped for the day. I think I will work on it each morning until 10:00 AM when it gets too hot to work. It is tempting just to install black accessories and make the whole thing black and yellow, but I put a brown MOLLE bag on instead of a black to try to get some color match with the camo kit. While I was a Love Motorsports, I bought new yellow side covers with the Trail 125 decals on them, and also the two main frame covers that say Honda on them. I don't like the idea of removing the factory decals, so I just bought replacement panels in case I want to revert the Kitaco camo set in case it ends up looking stupid. I think I will install the back half of the camo set first and see what I think. All that does is remove the "Trail 125" signage. Installing the front half of the camo set removes the word "Honda" from both sides.. that is a bit more worrisome LOL

I think I like the yellow color best, thanks for sharing. Any differences from the other Trail 125's?
@Vintage_Garage

@genechristmas755, Thanks for watching and your comment, much appreciated. Other than color, I think the 2024 is identical to the 2023 in every way, and while the engines were different in the 2021-2022 models and they didn't have adjustable rear shocks, I really don't see any performance differences with the five Trail 125s here. The accessories I installed on all of them are completely different however. I'm about half way through installing all the Kitaco accessories on the 2024, and if I don't mess up filming and editing, I plan to make a video about installing all the Kitaco accessories.

Can you describe the differences in all your trail 125's??
@Vintage_Garage
4 ай бұрын
@conniewaite1371, Thanks for watching, and your question, much appreciated. I have five Trail 125s now, and all are similar in some ways, and different in others. All of them have stock wheels, tires, exhausts, chains, sprockets, seats, engines, body panels, and with the exception of one of them, all are modeled after various customs that were sold by Cub Houses in Thailand. When the CT125s were first introduced Cub House showed four "customs" that you could buy at any of the 30 or so Cub Houses in Thailand. On the red, they had the "City Trail" with about half of the H2C accessories that were available at the time, plus the StreamTrail 33L bag. The other red was the "Farm Campster" which had all of the Gcraft accessories that were available at that time. On the brown, they had the "Country Trekking" that had all the H2C accessories that were available at the time, plus racingbros rear shocks, StreamTrail 55L bag, and the Endurance Side Case for fishing rods. Also on the brown, they had the "Military Campster", which had all the Kitaco accessories, and a Givi rear side bag. All four also had Barkbuster hand guards in specific colors. Since H2C was the OEM accessory line, and red was the only color for USA Trail 125s, I added the H2C accessories and the StreamTrail bag to it to make a City Trail. That video is here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/2aNurWSogn58mKg After that, I bought a second red, and added the accessories to make it into a "Farm Campster". That video is here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/uot7wHqhfoZ7fHo After brown was discontinued and replaced by green, Cub House introduced a green "Country Trekking" with all the accessories of the brown one, so I bought a green and made one. That video is here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qIdntYZ-rnR2qHo I still had many Kitaco parts sitting on the shelf for the "Military Campster" I never built and about this time, a new line of Honda OEM accessories was introduced in Japan, and not at the Cub House. I bought a second green and put all the Japanese OEM parts on it and decided to call it "Samurai Explorer". That one doesn't have Barkbusters on it. That video is here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/rK6Dyph8jnR-pqA As it turned out, a few months after I made the "Samurai Explorer" Cub House started showing the "Military Campster" in green. Almost at the same time Sunglow Yellow was introduced as a CT125 color at Cub House. So far, I haven't seen any Cub House customs on the yellow. I have decided to use all the Kitaco parts I have on the shelf to make a yellow "Military Campster", to finally complete all four of the original customs. It won't have all the Kitaco parts of the original, as I don't have them all, and with the engine change, some of the dress-up parts won't work, and I don't have the Kitaco crash plate and don't plan to get one. I also plan to use the new Kitaco rear side bag support with a Takegawa rear side bag instead of the Givi rear side bag setup. I am working on the installs this week and hope to have up a new video about it in a week or two.
