This '24 Stance 96 seems alot like the older womens Stance 94, especially in the longer lengths. The Stance 94 in the 182cm length is actually 96 width with the same profile and build (mostly) as the new Stance 96. I thought interesting and a potential money saver for those looking for a Stance with the 'new' build.

Should I have waited a year? lol. I purchased a pair of 22/23 Stance 96 last year to replace my old Salomon Screams as a one ski quiver. While I loved it's stability (no chatter on the hard pack) and penchant to have me hit the gas, I miss the playful, agile nature of the Screams. My goal last year was to do more tree skiing. Is this the silver bullet? Also considering the Blaze 94's.

The new Stance is a bit lighter and more maneuverable, so you will get a boost when it comes to off-trail performance as well as an according drop in stability on hard pack. Blaze 94 is another step to the lighter and more maneuverable side of the spectrum. If you're still looking to bridge the gap between rock-solid stability and creative tree skiing, I do think the new Stance 96 is a great option while the Blaze might leave a little more to be desired when it comes to on-piste and carving.

Looking for a fast all mountain ski carver. Wondering if you'd pick this ski over the Armada Declivity? I'm 5'11 and 185lbs -should I go 176 or 182cm?

If carving is more at the top of your list, then I'd lean to the Declivity. The Stance now has more off-trail and off-piste accessibility than before, and even then it was more versatile than the Armada. That said, the new Stance is still a great all-mountain ski. If you go Declivity, I'd go 180. Stance 182.

I'm thinking of buying this ski. I'm a hard charging athletic skier (186cm & 85kgs). Would you recommend for the 188 or 182cm for me?

I'd go 182 in that ski. The 188 is pretty darn long. I'm 6/2 225 and found a lot of success on the 182 and never really felt like I wanted a longer ski in this build and shape.

Hey Guys, local shop guy was raving about this update. What's your opinion compared to the Ripstick Black Edition and Rustler 9. With this update I am very interested as it's right in my weight wheelhouse and can prob crush the whole mountain. Still have 2023 rustler 9 and looooove the Ripstick Black's as reference.

I found the new Stance to be awesome--like the Ripstick Black but even more consistent from tip to tail. It's more energetic and accessible than it was before, and I think that's a nice change and maybe will open it up to more skiers as a result. The new Rustler is more flexible than it was before, but again, like the Stance, that's coming from a tip to tail/consistency standpoint. The old Rustler felt flexy in the very ends with no metal, then there was a break and then the ski got stiff underfoot. This led to a choppy feeling that is now gone. The new ski is way smoother and makes very clean and round turns. Stance does it too, only crisper and sharper.

Thx Guys. Adding this to the Must Demo List. Snow blowers have started out here getting pumped. This might just the mix that I am looking for in the weight to stiff to pop ratio! Keep it up!!!

@@SkiEssentialsOne last question, I usually ski 172(5'8 215 athletic) do I go 168 or 176?
@SkiEssentials

@@markfriedman8892 I think 168 is the way to go. I fear that the 176, being about 4 cm over head high, would be on the long side.

@@markfriedman8892weight wise, I would say 176 is better, 168 is significantly softer, skis interact with you through forces, don't know you tall you are 😅

What ski would you compare it to?

Atomic Maverick 95 comes to mind--light and responsive while remaining relatively versatile. You could also say it's a lighter Mantra or a more directional Rustler 9.
