Hello, if you'll be visiting Kaunas again, I would recommend to visit "Lithuanian folk museum (Liaudies ir buities muziejus)" in Rumšiškės which is near Kaunas, about 20 km away. A lot of tourists miss that place, but I visit it like twice a year and it never gets boring, so I would really recommend it.

If you ever come by again during the warmer months, be sure to visit the coastal towns of Klaipeda, Palanga and my personal favourite, Sventoji. Beautiful cities with great coastal views of the Baltic Sea, plenty of activities, culture and exploring to do there. If you're ever in Kaunas again and you enjoyed visiting the forts, I highly recommend visiting the Vytautas the Great War Museum. Some amazing history is preserved there. Thanks for visiting and taking us on the journey with you!

Next time when you're in Kaunas I would recommend a restaurant/brewery in one of the old town's basements called Avilys (Beehive). You can order a "meter of beer" which is a bit of a novelty but also very good! They add honey to their beers - hence the name. The food there is tasty too. Also, if you're not too scared of heights, book yourself an early morning hot air balloon flight - a truly amazing experience.

Hi, Laura. How are doing? Let's talk honest about the people here. What do you really think about them. Do you think they are racist? You know I'm from Portugal, a Latino type. And I felt pretty not welcome here. In Ignalina (Utena's district) the police stopped me in broad daylight asking for papers and tons of questions, like I was doing something suspect. I wasn't. I was walking down the street at 12am. People always looked at me with suspicion like I was some sort of threat. It felt so disappointing, 'cause the country is the most beautiful place I've ever seen.
