I bought this same guitar and amp package off a seller on CL for $50. Both were in mint condition. Seller said it was his daughters first guitar and she was ready to move up to a "next level" guitar. It plays like a dream and has possibly the best set up I've ever played. The 10 watt Studio 10 amp is now my soldering bench test amp.

I bought a $27 Squier Standard Strat at a garage sale. It turned out the previous owner's cat had used it as a litterbox. Ugh! Fortunately, the thick poly finish kept the wood safe. Some deep cleaning and some new parts and it was good as new.

It’s not a guitar I’d buy brand new, but I’d sure as heck spend $25 on it at a garage sale. I love little project guitars like this. I’d buy that puppy and then have a fun afternoon messing with it and getting it up to snuff. $25 well spent! Lol

Great rescue Dane and the Epi's gloss really shined up after the theral cleaning. And who can withstand such a good deal on a Limited Edition guitar. Yepp i like those Limited editions as well. Mine's a 355. 😊😊

Years ago I bought an epiphone l.p. 100. It was around 245 bucks new. I was your basic legs Paul setup. 4 knobs toggle on top with poker chip cover and the pick guard. I paid an extra 45 for a customs heritage cherry sunburnt with metalflake in it. it had no binding and was very heavy. It was a good guitar. Pickups worked good never had any problems with it. But then I got a bit wanting more so I put some Seymour Duncan pickups in it and damn it sounded much better. Iran in my room as we speak without a scratch on it. I the person who would freak out over a pin sized ding on his guitar. Someday I may have to sell em and if they are in good condition .

Never showed us neck relief, or adjustment of action or intonation. We we were hanging on, looking forward to seeing that. But your correct, it turned out nicely and will make a great instrument for blues, or jazz.

I have a earlier version of that guitar. Great guitar. It's kinda like the Volkswagen Beetle of guitars. All they really need is better tuners and maybe a bridge pickup swap. Mine has a Invader type pickup in the bridge. Great little guitar to keep around.Dont have to worry about a ding or scratches. Great job Dude!!

I have some nice guitars, but still think Epiphone's are great players. I put a Faber bridge, and Duncan pups on my standard, and love it. The overall feel is like my R9 that sits in It's case most of the time.

Some do, some don’t. Only the cheaper ones do. A Les Paul does not have to be set neck. There are guitars that cost a couple thousand bucks with bolt-on necks. The sustain improvement is barely noticeable. Of course others will disagreeing.

@@yactabay all my fenders have bolt necks but thats a different beast .... even some PRS guitars have a bolt on neck so it's not a big deal i guess.... was just surprised a les paul type had a bolt neck...
