That 28 rocked that big sheet of plywood. Pretty decent patterns at those ranges. Don’t worry too much about the squirrel footage, you are just getting started, it will get better.

Nice 28ga shotguns u have. I bought the tristar G2 viper 28ga. I bought mine just for squirrel hunting. Walmart here has alot of 28ga ammo in stock. I bought several boxes of federal 28ga 1 oz 6 shot. And Winchester 3/4 oz 6 shot in the white box. I bought several 100 ct boxes of Winchester AA 3/4 oz 7.5 shot. So I could reload the hulls. Squirrel season opens here may 15th runs to February 28th. 12 per day. I bought a mec 600 jr mark 5 reloader in 410 , 28ga and 12ga. Just need a 20ga now. Look up high Prarie sportsman he snow goose hunts with his 28ga. The lays the hammer down on ducks also shooting boss ammo.

That sounds pretty good. I used some boss last year on ducks and was impressed. Cant wait for duck season to come back around.

Great demonstration. I own the Mossberg SA-28 as well and need to order a case of Boss for it (although I don't need it as I have 500 plus shells in 12 and 10 gauge, haha). A pointer on pattern testing that will help you out a lot: Shoot a target with a 30" circle. This is the standard and it allows you to see the complete pattern and understand where the core is and see if there are any holes in the pattern. It can also help you out with adjusting the gun (shimming) to you when mounting and shooting off hand. Happy hunting!

I can understand! I’ve got multiple cases of 12ga steel but it’s all sitting back and taking the year off for sure!

@@murphyslawoutdoors9987 All I shoot now on waterfowl is Boss Shotshells. I swapped to them last season and it was an incredible difference from steel. I have over 2-1/2 cases of steel in 12ga that I don't touch. I like the No. 4 shot in the 12ga 2-3/4" 1-1/4oz load. The 10ga 2-1/16oz No. 2 shot load makes stoning geese at distance child's play. I'm going to the No. 5 shot in the 28ga like you have.

Tried using Boss this duck season... I've ordered 2 cases. 3/5 3" and #2 3". Patternmaster Code Black Goose, stuff is like throwing Thors hammer. Kills them dead as doornails.

Boss doesn't like patternmaster, use a constrictive choke if you run into problems. Boss will tell you the same.

If you're running patternmaster, viper ammunition and kinetic gunwerks pair up well
