Great video, Does the 96-98 cobras also comes with 28?

Yes, they do come with the 28 spline as well. I’m not finding alloy usa axles for 94-98 though.

It's good to know about an easy axle swap. Thanks. Would you consider doing a video on GT and Terminator front brakes? My wife's GT fronts seize every other year. My Terminator fronts are original and going strong. I'm considering upgrading the GT to Cobra fronts. Are the phenolic GT pistons the problem? Are the Cobras front pistons steel? Anything else I should consider? Thanks again.

Hey Danny, I love your videos and wanted your opinion, I have a 95 v6 mustang with a 5 speed t5 in it, I was debating wether to just swap out the motor for a 5.0 the 302 or getting a turbo kit, I understand that the 5.0 has a lot more aftermarket and I’m the end is a v8, I’m in college now and have limited funds and time, so what do you think would be best? I do understand the argument in selling the car and buying a v8, but I don’t know if I’d be up for that. Thanks!

Ugly Dogg That’s a tough one. You could go a lot of different routes. I would suggest no projects since you’ll want to focus on school. 2011 coyotes are getting affordable, and I think you’d enjoy the car already put together as well as having a new car- but insurance on a V8 is going to go up pretty substantially. I’d get some quotes to know what you’re getting into. Putting $11k into a coyote, you’ll still have a car worth about that. Putting $3,500 into a turbo kit will give you about 300-400hp but the car still won’t be worth much. You’d have to sell the kit to get your money back. The V6 has a weak 7.5” rear end, so you’d need to at least get a junk yard 8.8 with tlok just to think about putting power down. I had a 97 V6 and it was a great, reliable car, but let’s just say when I went out on my own I didn’t mod it- went for the Mach 1 and terminator and I’m glad I did

Danny Johnson I would like a newer car, but that comes with newer problems, if I were to engine swap it would be the 94-95 5.0 from the gt the 302 motor with 215hp, I have a bit of time before I go off to college, about I think 3-4 months, Iv gone and looked at 2011-2014 mustangs for 10k and I like the coyote, but I just cant get over the raw feeling of the sn95. I have a guy I can get a 5.0 302 as well as the wiring harness and the bell housing for $650, I haven’t negotiated with him and the engine sounds really healthy, the miles are unknown, do you think it would be worthwhile to buy the motor build it/maintain it while it’s sitting around and then this summer swap it into my car? Thanks again

Ugly Dogg Personally, Id look into a mach 1 at this point so you have he chassis you like with a nice DOHC 320hp engine to start with. If you have your heart set on a 5.0 from that era, it’s all up to you.

A guy in the comments said he used this 28 axle USA with a 3.55 and it was good? Does this sound right? I think it does.

It all depends on if the differential is also 28 spline, which is factory for all 99-04 mustangs except the 2000 Cobra R, 2001 Cobra, and 2003-2004 Cobra. I had them in my mach 1 with 3.55s

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage I have a 92' foxbody 5.0 . It came with the stock 28 spline and 2.73 gears from the factory. This seems like the best axle out of the rest.

Do you need the abs ring even if you dont have abs sensor on anymore?
@dannyjohnsonsgarage
2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think you’d need to install them if you’re not using abs anymore. My 97 mustang didn’t have abs and didn’t have them, and when I installed axles that had then it didn’t seem to be any different

Danny Johnson I figured but I wasn’t sure. Thank you for the reply! I have a 94 mustang GT that put down 440 wheel horsepower and I still have the stock axles in it. I’m thinking of an upgrade
