Thank you for this. I have been building my grinder and ran into multiple problems. Your videos have given me new ideas on how to resolve these issues.

Hi There the magnet and wired fitting is a speed sensing circuit that is used by the control board to know what speed it is going. your suggestion on putting the magnets on the flywheel is a good one. that would work.

Thanks, didn't end up using that idea though because was going to be too problematic. Cheers

I used a treadmill motor. I put my drive wheel on a shaft. then ran the the shaft with the treadmill motor. it also cut the speed down as treadmill motors are about twice the speed needed. it also will double the torque. as for the speed sensor most can be removed. On mine I removed everything. Mine has electronics mounted under the table and just the pot to adjust speed mounted up top. I know you went a different way. I seen and like your 3 phase motor. I thought I would share my experience so someone looking to do a treadmill build could see. not everyone wants to invest money into a hobby they may not like. I have a video of mine on my page.

Jeremy Miller awesome man cheers for sharing. Yea I understand people not wanting to pour money in and all that. For me it ended up easier to use the 3phase motor as it was here and unused. Love your input mate thank you!
