I had to stop halfway in this video because a couple thoughts I did not want to forget. 1 I can listen to you talk about anything as long as you are as into it as you seem about this subject. 2 on this subject I think there were a couple things you said that clicked with me that no other teaching description of how to do the process has landeded with me like you have, very helpful. the third thing is find watching your hands while you talk is captivating, I can see your hand movements making it all happen. Ok back to the video....... 😀

I've watched so so many videos on how to steam milk and how to do latte art and yours are by far the very best! After your video on steaming milk I was finally able to create beautiful microfoam. Great video, but you forgot the indistinguishable blob method which is my personal favourite. Texture the milk with too much or too little air. Pour the milk and wiggle madly in panic, trying to get lines to form, overfill the cup and spill milk on to the bench. And voila, you should have some abstract masterpiece in your cup. Seriously though, you are a Jedi master when it comes to latte art.

Totally with you on this. It’s difficult To communicate to another person what it feels like to do something - whether it’s controlling a pitcher or swinging golf club (I’m trying to fix my golf swing and going through this right now). It’s a good parallel, though. When you’re trying to fix parts of your golf swing you have certain “swing thoughts” that you focus on before each swing depending on what you’re trying to do, but your mind only has so much bandwidth in real time. Latte art is kind of the same for me where I focus on each poor I’m trying to achieve something but in real time other stuff gets out of hand really quickly. Anyway my point is that Emiliee Is the best I’ve seen at almost communicating how it feels to pour.
