Orgeat is a big seller during Dry January in our house.. 50ml (1 part) orgeat syrup 50ml (1 part) lemon /lime super juice Soda Water 2 dashes Angostura Bitters Garnish: Berries in season or sliced lemon (not necessary though) Alternative "Italian Lemonade": 1 oz Almond Orgeat Syrup ¾ oz lemon juice 2 dashes Angostura Bitters 2 dashes Orange bitters soda water Fill the tumbler one-third full of ice, and balance with water and sweeten to taste. Shake well, and ornament with berries in season. Either give you a cocktail vibe without breaking the rules

Another outstanding video! One of my favorite drinks overall fits in the orgeat/no rum- the Army Navy cocktail.

You may have intended this video to help me use up my orgeat, but it has had the opposite effect of encouraging me to make a new batch of orgeat in the first place. I love a Japanese cocktail and am really keen to try the Swedish-Japanese!

@@UnclePete I'm back with results. A bramble with mezcal? Wonderful. Also a bramble with Paranubes (cuz Oaxacan rum must have SOME relation to mezcal)? Maybe my favorite bramble.

I did a Japanese cocktail a while back bc I had Orgeat for Mai Tais and my wife like Cognac. I was not impressed really. Gonna have to try it sometime with the spilt base including Aquavit. Some interesting new info I learned from watching Make and Drink - The Saturn was actually served up when its creator Popo Galsini took part in the IBA World Championship, so it hasn't always been a blender cocktail.

Oo, a Saturn with mezcal? Never have I ever! That sounds great, I'm makin' it tonight. Btw, there's a *very* spice-forward (not *spicy* though) gin down here Indira, from Sipsong Spirits - not sure if you have it up there, but it makes a *great* Saturn where the gin really stands up to the rest.

I love orgeat and those drinks are all great. The Gunshop Fizz is an awesome Peychaud's bitters based drink. It has a lot of muddled fruit too, so it's a good summer drink. Anders did it on his channel years ago.

It is Freeland Rye from here in Portland, all their bottles look like that but in different colors. They make pretty good gin as well!
