I love hearing that '73 Toronado starter. Just like I remember the old '71 or '72 Buick Skylarks - heck, all '71-'76 GMs on a morning cold start: woowuhwuhwoowuhwuhwoowuhwuh. Once they were warmed up, it was just a quick turn of the key and a split-second sound of "Vee-ew" and they were going. And that deep, low-key, V8 exhaust note - why can't we have that on all the full size pickups today?

Love that 67 . The exhaust is kinda similar to glasspacks but they were the ones that those toronados came with from factory. Great car with a amazing engine , may be the best big block made by olds. Hope u do more videos of that car.

The cameraman did a good job starting them and keeping them running. He knows how to feather a gas pedal to keep a carbed engine running.

The drivetrain from the 1973 Oldsmobile Toronado was used to create the GMC Motorhome from the 1970s.

It's really good to see that these cars are still here and running. Top of the line luxury in their day. But why did the '73 Toronado sit for years and years?

Now you guys are talking my language! Haha. I love them!!! You can really see the design cues that Olds used in the body lines of the 67 Delta 88 that I have versus your Toronado. Gotta love that 425! To my knowledge, I thought they only made the 425 from 66 through 67. I could be wrong though. All I know is my 67 Delta 88, and 67 Delmont 88 have the 425. Thanks for the video!

DAMN such beautiful designs, so much better than the cars today..My Mom always wanted one, but Dad said a 98 or a Custom Cruiser wagon, so we had 98s, then after the last of us left home, in the 80's they were downsized and Mom hated the new design...

I love the toranado at the beginning! Those are comfy cars to ride in, especially if it has the pillow top style seats.. I currently have a 71 Cutlass S and it’s amazingly comfortable to drive

I had a red 73 Toronado bought it from my brother in 78-or 79. Replaced my 70 Riviera with it, and the Riviera was a better car Rivieras from 66-69 are just beautiful, personally I like the boattail Riv better than the Toronado but the big FWD car handles so well , I hear exceptionally well in snow. The 455 came out with the 1970 models

What's the status of the 67 Toronado? For sale? I see that it has the rare rear defogger option and that someone hacked the crap out of the instrument panel to remove the radio.

Going to fix a few things and yes it has rear defogger and I have another dash bezel to replace the hacked radio removal and also have a radio from a 68 Toro. Car is not for sale yet. Maybe when I start driving this I'll want to keep it!! Rare cars nowadays. Thanks for watchin'!
