Once in a while I'll do a drag curl. It's never felt "quite right" to me, maybe because I don't do it enough to feel comfortable, and maybe because I've never seen anything else do it! Personally, to hit the different heads, I like to do either spider curls or (my favourite) incline curls. You get a great contraction with the latter. I think a lot of guys at the gym focus so much on just the weight of the bar or size of the dumbbells, that they avoid anything that makes you use less.
@MacFit-AZ
3 жыл бұрын
@@tonys4341 I totally agree. When you slow it down, fully extend and do things right; you get a wake up call on the weight you have to use. I can’t stand seeing guys curling a bar and yanking it up with the momentum of there chest and back rocking back and forth because they have to lift something they deem heavy enough.
@StevenSWM
3 жыл бұрын
I can totally believe you are the only one doing them in your gym...as I've never seen anyone in any gym doing them, and never on anyone's channel in social media, and personally never heard of them until this video! And I've been into fitness for a long long LONG time! I'll bet Arnold Schwarzenegger has never heard of them either! Did you just make them up for this video??? Admit it!

As someone who has watched fitness videos for a long time, Id like to say Scott definitely deserves more views. He is always straight to the point and has really good technique/physique. PD: Fitness videos have become so boring and stupid lately with x "lesser KZitemr" addressing "x bigger one" on whatever stupid topic, and it is just about getting more views and imo sucks... But well lets hope fitness videos still get entertaining and informative instead of ridiculous it has become.

Ivan that was a very thoughtful and well written message. Your point of view is exactly what I am looking for. If you can do me a favor and head over to my chnnel and see if you feel the same about it as you do Scott's I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

My mother was an aerobics instructor and weight trainer as I was growing up. She always taught me proper form, and we would get a kick out the people in the gym doing it all wrong. Thanks for sharing your vids on proper form. I show them to my hubby (ex college football player). Funny how much he has learned from techniques I've shared with him as well as vids you've shared. He tells me how totally wrong he was trained as a ball player.

The "Drop sets rest period: 1-2 minutes max" is confusing, when dropping the weight you don't rest at all right, but only after dropping all the way down then you rest for 1-2 minutes and start at the higher weight again. That's what is implied correct?
