Thanks for sending me this link after I watched your other video re the Logitech web cam set-up. Good info here. What I'm running into now is, no matter where I position the webcam -- whether on its tripod, in front of or to the side of me, or at the top of my monitor, the angle isn't working out. I am a graphics designer and writer. I have a 43-inch monitor. My eyes go up and down, left and right, all the time as I view my screen. I will soon be participating in a workshop (reason for buying the webcam) and will need to look AT the screen at the other participants, but that means I will NOT be looking into the camera, so I will NOT be looking directly into the eyes of other participants. No matter what I do, I can't get a straight-on angle -- I can't look INTO the camera and AT my big screen both at the same time. Ah, the vicissitudes of life ...!

All of the above is very true. When I'm presenting a workshop, I try to look directly at my camera often - even thought that means I'm not looking at the participants during that time. I have a free online course with tips and techniques for hosting workshops and events on Zoom that has more info for you - www.clcneighborhood.com/courses/3338878/about

One more thing Marcia is doing here - but doesn't mention - is to wear a garment color that is close to your eye color. See how her cardigan repeats her eye color and make you instantly make eye contact with her and feel connected?

I use a cardboard box because I write on a physical whiteboard as I teach.

Awesome tutorial. Well explained. I have learned more here about zoom, than anywhere. Thank you. I have one question particularly though. I am looking to how people have custom theme/digital/animated backgrounds?

You are welcome! Here is the Zoom support article for virtual backgrounds. This doesn't work for all computers and frankly sometimes can be distracting because when people move parts of them can "disappear" into the background. support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/210707503-Virtual-Background
