Well done. The shortest of the pins does not touch til bottom, due to the position of the wings. That's why all the drivers can be S5, and still block. The School kit i am building will have an A pin in the first, to make sure it only can be picked in an angle around it. If you post the ID on the green tag, I can decode it for you, and lowercase letters in the decode means the longest part is towards the head. And it list the pins from the tip of the key. I will try to e-mail you a highres image of all 13 pins, to help you identify them

now try pick it again but swap the deepcut from back and put deepcut as pin 1, then try pick it without overset pin 1 :p

Good job, I know I still pretty new to this but the bitting on the key made it look like the lock had more than 6 pins. Don't the pins sit in the valleys?

Very nicely picked mate. That's one I picked?. If that back pin was in the middle it would be tricky. Someone said the pins don't touch the bottom. lol. Great job mate. Are we seeing more vids?
@peterestall

Thanks bud, that was the one with the easier bitting, and I certainly got lucky on pin 6, and hopefully trying to get vids out more consistently again, but things have been working against me.

Angled pins.... does this make it harder or easier? If there were no angle, would it even be possible to get the lowest cut pins off the warding without over setting them? Just askin'... I am pretty new to this stuff (although a veteran of many, many, screwdriver stabbings). R.

Now there's a question, the stepped key pins make it harder to work out where you are as each pin has 2 depths. the way the pins sit on the warding the pins don't really effect the picking, as a standard pin has an angle on the bottom anyway, it's the keyway and the bitting that really effects everything.

the angled pins are mainly for master keying, gives them some extra options.

oh my gosh, i was on the ragged EDGE of my seat during the final moments of this video - i was envisioning the commentary running along the route of "..viewers wondering why the birds are all squacking and cheeping SO loudly in the background.....now, here is the hedge outside my house...*camera pans*...and HERE is my unsavoury neighbour, who has begun habitually interfereing with my magnificent variety of peacefully nesting birdlife....hence the rather *worried* sonding background cheepings..." pmsl :D probably SHOULDNT comment youtube after a night out, looking back lol
