I'd like to share a Weird fact: I used to practice bodybuilding in the past, i got bulky and massive, and never reached that "ripped" state... then i discovered MMA, after having few spares with these guys i felt like I was all big but no power... it's been almost 2 years now... and i can tell you that i'm in my best shape ever ( less bigger than before, but more aesthetic, and efficient when it comes to fighting! I eat clean and train 3 times a week and I'm doing very well... ( i do bulk once a year but the jiu jitsu way! ;) ) jiu jitsu can build a solid body

Thank you so much for putting together this video. I just started Jiu Jitsu this week and I've done three hours on the mat so far, quite a bit of that rolling. I can already see and understand in a very basic way how each one of these exercises will help me, as every time I've found myself in a spot where I can't do anything, I know that one of the many reasons is because I'm just not strong enough to move my body or my opponents body in a way that would make things easier for me. I'm a musician by trade, and I can see that this kind of technical conditioning is just like when a musician practices their scales. Yeah, we might not just play scales during a song, because it wouldn't be very melodic, but we practice them so that our fingers (or in Jiu Jitsu, our bodies) know where to go and can get there quickly, and there's enough strength when they get there for it to have the effect we're looking for (in music, to make a clear and clean note). I can now train something on my own that is specific to what I'm doing in class. So thank you very much!
