My co-worker and I ate potatoes, apples, and broccoli ONLY for 6 days (also some no sodium spices). We both lost about 6 pounds. It was a good experience

You're a true American medicine treasure. Thank you, the whole family, for your commitment to informing, educating, and encouraging healthy, and enjoyable nutrition. When I hear of a research stream of 10+ journal articles (presumably) in a weekend, still, it makes sense, and is necessary when swimming upstream so hard and fast. You're an inspiration through the effect of your works and by the work effort investment you've made and make. Thank you .

I am a picky eater and I have been trying to eat whole foods for a while now. I feel happier eating all starch! Like rice with potatoes and beans but I feel like if I don't eat other fruits and vegetables I am missing out on nutrients. Do I have to eat all the fruits and vegetables? Or can I live healthy on starch only?

Both of these delightful folks have sarcopenia. And brain fog. And short-term memory loss. Voice is weak (low T3?). Now eating 800 calories a day of fat and not gaining weight? So the fat he eats is NOT the fat wears. So much contradiction it's hard to follow this. And it completely ignores the successes of the carnivore community. Millions with results that directly contradict Dr. McDougall. Who to believe, that is the question.

Why is your dad not gaining weight eating all the nuts he said he’s eating in his last live if he always says the fats you eat is the fat you wear
@ddpwe5269
Жыл бұрын
The fat you eat is only the fat you wear if your body can break it down or when it's separated from fibre in its freeform. If your body has to break down the fibre to get to the fat, it'll only use what it needs and the rest goes on to help benefit your microbiome. When you eat nuts in whole form, you would have to chew on them for a very long time to reduce them to less than a paste where the fat is removed from the fibre. Most of us don't chew anywhere near that well, which is fine, as it benefits your microbiome whatever your body doesn't need.

@@Atheria444 "Don't need to lose". Do you see any definition in your muscles or have lost your period? Otherwise, your body will get as lean as it needs. I've been doing the same thing(although still mostly carbs) and overeating WFPB, even more than what I need for my training. All the while getting stronger to boot! My family keeps asking 'How much leaner will you get?' I just keep saying, until it only needs whatever fat it needs. If I ever get too low in body fat(currently at 15%ish down from about 40% and will never go below 10% if it happens), I'll just eat even more or switch out some food to processed fats. One thing we have to keep in mind is the latest research has shown that if you need WFPB all the time, your body will want to burn off excess calories as energy before it tries to store it. It does this at about 98.2%, which means only 1.8% will ever get stored as fat when eating in excess.
