A bright, sunny drive over Wolf Creek Dam. Impounding Lake Cumberland on highway 127, between Jamestown and Albany, Kentucky, Wolf Creek Dam was completed in 1952, creating Lake Cumberland. The lake boasted 1,255 miles of shoreline and is 65,530 acres in size, at maximum pool. Wolf Creek Dam is the 25th larges dam in the US.
Normal summer pool is 725' & maximum pool is 760' at the top of dam floodgates. The top of Wolf Creek Dam is 773. The lowest water level was 675.10' January 27, 1981. The highest water level was 756.52' February 26, 2019.
