This 15-minute craft requires 2 paper sheets, scissors and tape (or glue or staples). First make 8 identical squares. For each square, fold in half (corner side to corner side), then again to make a quarter folded triangle. Take the scissors to the folded edge, line the scissor blade up with the longest edge, and cut two parallel slits (evenly spaced) along the paper. Don't cut all the way through. Leaving a seam allowance the same width as the slits. Once you've cut all eight of the squares, you're ready to tape. Open out, and curl the layers back on themselves then secure. Alternate the three layers (three layers come from two cuts) so one folds inwards, one backwards, and one inwards, securing them all separately by tape.
To scale this craft up, use larger squares (example, make each sheet of paper into one square). To scale this craft down, just use smaller squares!
To make a more intricate design, make four of the snowflakes with three cuts, and then alternate them throughout the standard segments.
To keep the craft super neat, measure the cuts to make them evenly spread, and secure all the segments facing the same direction.
Merry Christmas!
