Fire up your lawn mower and park it over the hole early in the morning before they are active for the day with it running at a high speed, every bee or wasp will exit the hole because of the noise and vibration and be chopped up!

I've watched a lot of hornet nest videos. One good way, without contaminating your soil, is to just build a little campfire on their hole. Your grass will grow back pretty soon. Keep feeding it wood, let it burn for at least an hour or more. They don't do well with high temperatures. What the heat doesn't take care of, the lack of oxygen will. I've also seen liquid nitrogen or dry work pretty effectively - very clean, both of those also tend to displace all the oxygen in the nest.

1 large heavy rock, 1 bucket, dry ice screen. Wait till night if possible. Place screen over hole. Place dry ice over top of nest hole. Turn bucket upside down to catch CO² gas and place over screen and set heavy rock on top. Wait 1 hour. Dig up dead nest. The CO² gas builds up and makes it's way down through entire nest. All jackets and larvae die due to asphyxiation.

For me, the issue has always been finding the nest location. Once you do, just buy one of the "dust" products, like Sevin. 1lb is less than $8 and there's enough to treat 3 or 4 nests. It's not an immediate killer so workers can drag the stuff into the nest. Bayer makes one too that's faster acting, but you have to blast it in the hole for it to get around the cavities of the nest. Drowning, trapping, burning, or in this dudes case, electrocuting, are all temporary as you're not likely to get everything. All the video needs to be is a minute or two. Dust, walk away, come back the next day. Dig it up if you want, or plug up the hole.

Those are actually wasps and their colony has an entrance and an exit and then a brood chamber if you want to do it right you got to hit all three if you can if not you have to pour the gasoline in both the entrance and the exit at the same time and then light it that way they can escape.

All you have to do is mark the nest entrance with a long stick to locate it at night. Then pour a bucket full of hot water with dish soap into the hole after dark. Worked great for me.

The water trap was made wrong. Sorry. The best meat to use is lightly cooked chicken. Actually screw it to the board and allow it to hover over the soapy water with a space of about 1 inch. In 24 hours you will have A LOT of yellow jackets in there.

This works if ya have a bee suite. I on the other hand do not. So I used Ph Up (Calcium Hypochlorite) and DOT3 break fluid (Ethylene Glycol) to burn them out. The advantage is that it’s much quicker to pour two things at once then run.......it ignites in around 30-45seconds.

STOP! Please. These videos keep coming up on my recommended videos and I’ve noticed that no one knows how to deal with these nests. It doesn’t require any of this fancy stuff. It takes me a total of 2 seconds to take care of a yellow jacket nest. Go to the hardware store and buy a product called sevin (powder form) throw some over the hole and they’ll track it in to the nest and be gone the next day. That’s it. Your welcome. Now you can spend more time doing other things instead of coming up with over engineered solutions that don’t work that well.

We had them for years. I know they are normally aggressive, but they peacefully pollinated our neighborhood even when I moed the lawn. One year I put dog poop next to the entrance and a week later they were gone.

Don't call them ground bees. These yellow jackets are totally different. Bees that live in the ground (and some do) are not aggressive, are pollinators, and can be driven away (if necessary) with water.

*_Mix your gasoline with sugar. It Burns longer & makes it safer to handle plus it sticks to the _**_-British-_**_ _**_-soldiers-_**_ wasps real good. When I came to the U.S as a teen from Ireland I was up in a cherry picker whitewashing a building when I first ever saw a hornet. OMG. I escaped with my life but I have removed some of these ground bees using the above method. Have never had to deal with or flee from another hornet so far. Oklahoma doesn't seem to have many, or maybe I've just not met them yet_* 😂 ☘🐎🙏❤🤍💙🙏🐎☘ #KidsWillBeKids
