I don't use any of the Google spyware. I tried this. It didn't work. iOS is so unbelievably restrictive and downright BACKWARDS that I simply couldn't use it daily. Heck, it's 2023 and you STILL can't just load an mp3 into an iPhone and set it as your ringtone. You need to cut a 30 second portion of it, save it in a specific format, put it on the garbage iTunes client and THEN send it to the phone. A Nokia from 2007 was more capable than this. iOS is designed for people too dumb to use any sort of computer whatsoever.

I tried it a few times and I absolutely hate the home screen. It's infuriating to use; feels like prison. You can't even put your icons where you want. The keyboard is also so much worse. It's a huge difference. I also really missed the way better widgets, so I done have to open each app. Also the back button gesture; this one was really annoying to not have. Also the notch was a pretty terrible experience for video watching. Charging was painfully slow as well. You can't just quickly top up. Idle battery is really good, but my phone is not idle that much. Some of the apps seemed a bit better, and the animations were smoother compared to Android phones from 3-4 years ago. The 60 Hz screen and the lower resolution really bugged me too. It felt tens years older somehow even with the screen being great quality, the specs were bad. The newer iPhone 13 was better, but noticably not as nice as a Samsung screen or a Pixel 6/7. I got a Pixel for work now instead of an iPhone and it felt like such a breath of fresh air.

Hahaha you have to get used to it. And you can add other apple devices so you can blend in to the ecosystem. That way you (I think) might complain less and less because you will no longer see the phone as an singular odd device but an important part of a huge ecosystem. I'm not forcing you to buy more apple products and stop complaining. What I'm trying to say is that I think most people don't mind the things they don't have in iPhones because to them, it's not just a phone but a part of their lifestyle that works well with apple ecosystem.

@@EllisKaiLabFunny enough, that ecosystem is a big part of why I’m leaving Apple. Everything claims to work together seamlessly, but it instead works properly like 75% of the time, just enough that I expect it to work and try to use it, but it frequently doesn’t and I get annoyed. I already use Windows for my laptop and desktop, and have Samsung buds, which have overall been an improvement in my life. Next time I get a new phone it’s gonna be Samsung, as well as a Samsung watch. Might keep using an iPad, definitely my favorite Apple product that you really can’t replicate. Samsung isnt the same walled garden that apple is though. Apple deliberately makes their technology entirely incompatible with other ecosystems in order to prevent people from leaving their ecosystem. Want to transfer files from a windows laptop to your iPhone? You have to use iTunes. Want to text someone not using an Iphone (assuming your in the USA where everyone tends to use the default messaging setup instead of whatsapp or something similar to it)? Apple will downgrade your texting from iMessage to SMS/MMS instead of using RCS which makes the experience overall worse for all people involved (this is something they could fix very easily but have chosen not to). While Samsung may have some 'samsung only' features they're not nearly as restrictive or important to the core functionality of the phone and how it interacts with other devices.

To each his own preference: I love trial apps. Iphones requires registration of your CC to continue with the trial app. Android ask you if you want to register your CC then continue with the trial app. Times and again, I forget to unsubscribe. Iphone automatically deducts money & charge your CC. Android politely notify me that the trial is done, do I want to continue?

The first point makes no sense. WhatsApp lets you link devices regardless of OS. I use it on both my android and iPhone and the chats are all linked so I don’t lose anything when I switch over.

I moved from iphone to andriod after the bs from my first generation Air pod pros (I had to replace them every 6 konths because the left air pod would static). Luckily apple care + saved me for those replacements. Still, $250 for the airpod pros that have to be replaced every 6 months was infuriating. Ive had an iphone since Iphone 5S and switched after my iphone 12. I did like my iphone but I couldnt afford another iphone after my screen cracked. So, I got a pixel 6a since google is also a performance based phone. Both phones are extremely fast but I only paid $300 for my 6a and it offers the same experience from my iphone 12. All I care about is instant app start and fast performance and a good camera and im set.

I regret buying an iPhone, like I cannot even emphasise how much I hate apple ecosystem. Good thing is this is my first purchase of any apple product. I have had super polished experience with android and imho, android sync is far better. I have two WhatsApp numbers because I travel internationally quite frequently, and it’s a f***ing pain in the arse with the transfer of chats as WhatsApp does not allow multi-account on WhatsApp. I am selling iPhone this week and would rather buy an OnePlus 12 over any apple product.

Please don't compare iOS with Android in comment section as Android is open world where anyone can do mostly anything (without restrictions) and iOS is a perfect jail where you'd get everything but you've to follow them for everything they say for better security and for that you pay the prices accordingly. So by that Android is for everyone from the poor to the richest but ios is only for a limited amount of people and considering openness of Android I can say that Samsung handles phone security better with freedom it gives to its users. At last it comes to users as there are top end Android users too who aren't comfortable with iOS and vice versa.

I went over to iPhone for a year and it had its pros and cons. The iPhone 12 was very fast and reliable but after a year the battery life was terrible probably due to being such a small battery. And iPhone is just boring. It very much is a world where Apple knows best and you have to just do what they want.
