The boards at the very bottom between the steel and the trailer bed..... Do you put those down, or does the customer put them in place? I'm in my second week at Melton Tulsa, thanks:)

The customer provided them but some customers want you to provide your own. I always kept 8 pieces on my truck

Melton guarantees their customers up to 48k pounds so was always told keep truck 32k or less. I always just kept what I needed on the truck nothing I didn’t so that helped.

I'm 29,800 with full tanks. I don't worry about axle weight unless I have over 48,000 on my trailer.

If you have that long poll to push the straps through the belly wrapping is pie.

What I liked about a flatbed is everything that goes on does so with a hoist or a forklift and gets unloaded the same way.

That’s light weight compared to European trucks. Mercedes can 50-60 tons easy

Yes this truck would probably pull that its just on regulation. The problem is you share the road and many companies limit is 65 compared to 55 in Europe. Gearing on the european truck will be different means it can pull more even with the same or a lower powered engine.

Looks like an accident that’s fixing to happen a rookie driver with that kind a load of pipes

If trucking companies put every load aside because someone thought it was too risky for a rookie no one would get experience and no one would be making money. I’m more than comfortable with every load I’ve had since starting trucking. It’s all about securement and how you drive. If you drive like shit and aren’t watching chances are worst for you. I’m not with this company anymore, I do heavy haul and end dump for a company and I’m still more than comfortable with putting that end dump in the air and not tipping over and I’m more than comfortable with how I secure equipment and other items we haul on the RGN. At the end of the day we all still have stuff to learn in trucking, no one knows it all. I’m not turning down a load and loosing money because it might be risky or someone thinks it’s an accident waiting to happen for a rookie driver.
