4K Bonfire diving in Anilao, Philippines with the Sony A7SIII, shooting 4K, either 60fps or 120fps, all SLOG3, ISO12,800.
We place lights on a downline from a buoy at approx 5m depth near the reef with max depth of only 15m. After a short time this will attract a lot of plankton which will in turn attract deep critters.
Equipment:
Sony A7SIII
Sony 90mm Macro lens (all underwater footage)
2 x Keldan 9000 lumen lights
Seafrogs Housing
DJI Mavic Pro (Intro clip)
Sony 24mm (preparation clips on land)
Special thanks to Ram Yoro and Dennis Corpuz for recently introducing me to this 'genre' of underwater photography. This short film I made on my 2nd and 3rd bonfire dives, it's difficult to maintain focus with the longer lens, but I find the process and results to be very rewarding and can't wait to get back in the water at night for more action.
