As someone who picked a Deluxe over a Twin (as a country guitarist), the Deluxe is a brilliant amp. Like any Fender amp, they’re great pedal platforms. The built in reverb and vibrato inside of them are both so vibrant and lush. It’s got the classic look. The circuit sounds phenomenal and well balanced for whatever you could want to do without needing a “gain” channel. And not to mention, it’s about 20-25 less heavy than the Twin Reverb, which comes in handy for touring/gigging musicians ;)
@jspanos500

Yes. The rule of thumb is a killer amp will make any so-so guitar sound great. With the DRRI, make sure you either upgrade or bypass the bright cap on the reverb/trem channel. The stock one is a tone destroyer.

amazing! so glad they included a squier in there, I think us squier players are so self conscious considering the cheap rep squiers are given. I love the vintage modified series, even more than the classic vibe, and i would highly recommend a vintage modified squier for anyone looking for a unique take on fender instruments. (you gotta tune more, big whoop) totally unrelated note, Andy might be one of, if not, the best gear demonstrators out there

I own a CV Tele custom... I absolutely love it. If I had to buy another guitar it would be a SQ strat or jaguar no doubt. They even released Starcasters recently. Squiers are really nice for the price. I am also in lovr with the Streamliners :9

for my taste, in this case 1. Gretsch / 2. Epiphone / 3. Ibanez. the Danelectro looks beautiful, but i just don´t like its sound. i had one once and sold it. now i have a J Mascis squier jazzmaster and some vintage giannini supersonics (yes, my budget ain´t that much).

He couldn't make a guitar with too high of action, shitty frets and non compensateable bridge sound good unless he only played slide. Some cheap guitars are just toys, not musical instruments at all. Total shit. LOL

@@JonNewquist A shitty guitar can be set up well ,no ? My first guitar was a squier tele affinity which was 140 pounds brand new but fuck me that is to this day my second favourite guitar. I went through Gretsch g5122 and Gibson LP studio before settling down for a fender jazzmaster.

The lipsticks make the Danelectro; now that they're being mass produced, a good retrofit for Strats, including the humbucker version, a great alternative to P90's on SG's. The Fender "Surf" Strat released recently is proof in the pudding if you're not familiar; clean~,clean, or with the nastiest Fuzz.The world def needed another pickup .

I'm not a fan of semi's, maybe that's why the Danelectro in the only guitar working for me here, but even when playing a Danelectro in a guitar shop, I still always felt like there was something missing. There was even more missing from semis; that's not just a pun; even tho nearly every guitar here shines in some way, I felt they all struggled or completely fell down, when it came to low-end & sustain. They just don't have low-end stability, & as a guitarist that is usually the only guitarist in whatever ensemble I might be a part of; I use droning E's, G's, D's and C's a lot in my playing and compositions. A guitar that misses that check box, won't fit in my load out unfortunately.

For under $500 I’d take any MIM tele or Strat. Also the classic vibe series from squier is tight. I also think Peavey has some really underrated guitars from the 80’s. American made and pretty dang nice sounding. Just said Peavey on the headstock so it threw things off for them.
